RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #239 will have the option of temporary membership privileges, for a transfer fee, at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Relaxing Retreat

We enjoyed our days at Silver Sands. Our unit was very spacious and comfortable. It was an easy two minute walk to the beautiful beach, and checkin was a breeze. We loved the proximity to restaurants and appreciated the list of area restaurants we received at checkin. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!!

My two friends and I had a wonderful time here. The place was super clean and had what we needed! Loved having a kitchen to make some food at home. Having the beach right there was PERFECT. We spent the whole long weekend relaxing in the sun. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful property

A friend and I stayed for a very quick weekend getaway. The location is beautiful, the room was well taken care of, clean, and nicely renovated. We were down for an engagement party at another house near there and did not check in until later. The staff was very helpful with this process and called with updates and process before we arrived. I would recommend staying here and will be looking to come back for a longer stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great choice on a quiet stretch of beach even during the height of spring break. Even in a unit not facing the gulf- the outdoor deck was a great addition- and a few quick steps to the beach made it nice. Lots of activities to enjoy - the kiddos loved the heated pool, mini golf and shuffleboard. A few fixer upper needs like broken shuffleboard pieces but the grounds are maintained and nice; the unit is clean. Needs some minor repair and better pillows!

The Silver Sands has a small Putt Putt course that we enjoyed. They also had beach toys, floats, chairs, and umbrellas available for use on a first-come first served basis. The beach is very quiet with only a handful of other families nearby. We were there in early June and saw a lot of turtle nests. Longboat Key has everything you need but is a bit pricey at Publix so you might want to shop on the mainland and stock up before heading out. We are already thinking of planning a return trip.

Quick beach trip.

There’s plenty of room. Clean and neat. Property is on the beach. Plenty of parking. Our room was on the side of the building next to road but we did not have a problem sleeping due to road noise. If you plan to do much cooking bring supplies such cooking oil and spices, only salt and pepper were there. Would stay there again.

Rooming and private condo in a quiet complex

This unit was nice and roomy. It was well appointed and in a nice and quiet complex steps from the beach. The outdoor deck had a nice table for outdoor dining and the outdoor railing lights created a nice atmosphere for an evening glass of wine on the deck. The pool was heated and kept at a perfect temperature. It was convenient to spend some time at the pool and some time at the beach since they were steps away from each other. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us.

Everything We Expected and More!

Easy peazy check-in. Unit was spacious and clean (2-bedroom). Nice TV in every room, as well as ceiling fans. Plenty of beach towels and regular towels. Two beach umbrellas also. Nice deck area with a limited view (because of palm trees) of the Gulf. Shower/tub was adequate. Overall quite satisfied and would gladly book again!

A bad start

We had a lot of trouble checking in. We arrived at midnight and because the office was closed we were instructed to get our keys from the drop box. The keys weren’t there and we couldn’t reach anyone at any of the multiple 800 #s we were provided. Thank goodness a maintenance man just happen to be there. He called the local manager. Turns out someone took our room. The manager gave us other accommodations for the night but I have yet to receive a call back from RVA and it’s been more than 48 hours (there vm system said within 24). The local manager was great but I will hesitate ever using an RVA property.

We looked into many options and hotels and due to the events of the weekend there was not many hotel options. I found this resort and condo on VRBO with the option of one night rental. Amazing !We were hoping for an early check in since we were moving from one condo to another, I had put it on our reservation when it was booked and then called and asked. It ended up being a 4:30 check in which wasn't the best. The resort grounds were nice, but the bottom of the pool really needed a vacuuming. The unit was spacious and decorated nicely. I had hoped for the unit to be a bit cleaner, especially after reading reviews raving about it being clean. There was food stuck on the counter (looked like eggs next to the stove), qtips under one of the beds in the second bedroom, and the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed before it was washed-- there was hair stuck to the ground everywhere and hair all over the toilet seat. It was a bit offputting. Alex was the name on the Merry Maids form in the unit. The shower curtain in the bathroom was discolored yellow, probably time to be replaced.
