Sarasota/Siesta Gem
The Tulip House was the perfect stay for our family of five visiting the area for the holidays. You can’t beat its super convenient location- close to all the shopping, dining, and beaches. The hosts thoughtfully stocked the home with just about anything you could need and were excellent with their communication and hospitality. We’ll most definitely be back!

A Great vacation!
We spent 5 weeks in this lovely house. The house is clean, comfortable, and spacious! The owners are always available and responsive for questions and concerns. The house is in a great location and convenient to everything. We enjoyed everything about our visit. Everything is beautifully maintained. The pool was smaller than I expected but deliciously warm and regularly maintained . The outdoor areas are lovely and the backyard landscaped beautifully! We hope to return!

Awesome for a weekend girls trip
We stayed here for my friends bachelorette weekend and it did not disappoint! The beach and downtown is less than 10min away, and grocery stores as well. the beds are very comfortable and the pool was very nice!

Wonderful property and stay
This vacation home is absolutely gorgeous, clean, organized and well located, just 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes to stores, a mall, excellent restaurants, etc. I highly recommend it for families and for anybody looking to have a wonderful vacation in Sarasota. I’m definitely coming back

The house is very cute, had great kitchen tools, clean and pool was as it is in the pictures. We were disappointed in how far it was from the beach. To get to an actual beach for a family to hang out at it’s is a 15-20 minute drive with traffic. It’s affordable and close enough to the beach but if you are looking for beach convinence this is not the place.

July: thank you for your review. This rental is advertised as being central to Siesta Key beach & downtown Sarasota. We also show approx. mileage it is from home to the beach. If you prefer a beach vacation, we do recommend you staying right on the island for walking convenience to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay~
I originally had the house booked for just 3 people to spend time with family who live in Sarasota. Sadly, last minute we ended up with 7 people staying in the house due to a family death. The listing states sleeps 8 but our experience didn't prove to be the case. The Sleeper Sofa is not in an actual bedroom. It's located in more of a family room setting. The sofa is very old and would probably work well for 2 small children to sleep on but it was not meant for 2 adults. One side of the sofa completely caves in when laid on. Also for us, 2 bathrooms was not enough for 7 people but we made it work. The mosquitos were a huge nuisance while swimming and sitting on the back patio! We bought and applied bug spray often but I got to thinking Florida mosquitos are smart and are actually attracted to bug spray. A few of us got eaten up! Otherwise, we all enjoyed our stay! The kitchen had all the appliances you typically would need. We spent one of the days at the beach, which is a quick 5-10 minute drive depending on traffic. The house had enough sand chairs for all of us. I would suggest bringing your own beach towels. There wasn't enough in the house for all of us. There's a cooler in the garage for packing your own food and beverages and also a couple of boogie boards and a beach umbrella. Tip: If you've never been to Siesta Key Beach, I highly recommend arriving early, especially on the weekend. The parking lot, which is huge, fills up quickly. I had excellent communication with Virginia. She is as sweet as can be and available throughout your stay if you have questions or need anything. The house is in a cute, quiet neighborhood just off Tamiami Trail (Hwy 41) - easy access to anywhere you need to go. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you Lisa for your lengthy review, but I would like to comment to a few things in your review: The sofa in the den is a regular "queen size sofa" bed and so far we never had a guest who complaint about it. The sofa is only 3 years old because we entirely furnished this home when we bought it about 3 years ago....same for all other furniture in this home. Mosquitos: I left you an outside fan in the sitting area which can be pointed to your feet. This is a trick because mosquitoes cannot fly against the wind. We here in Florida know this and its common that due to the humidity we unfortunately have mosquitoes in the evenings. Mosquito spray was also under the sink and in the garage.... Lastly: we do not offer beach towels, but you may have missed reading this in our arrival & departure instructions. We thank you again for having stayed at our home.

The property and experience was wonderful. It would be nice if you had candles or something to get the mosquitos under control. You also need to rune the trees of the spider nest before they take over your trees. Overall we had a wonderful weekend. We loved the place.

The house was very beautiful. Definitely looked bigger in the pictures. At first we thought we would be able to walk places but you definitely need a car. Wish there was more flexibility on the check in/check out times. Very responsive owner.

Thank you Ms. Carmin for your review, but unfortunately guests departed on the day of your arrival and the home needed to be cleaned. We are flexible with check-in times if available and the cleaning was completed earlier than 4:00 PM, or if there is no turn over when guests arrive then guests can arrive as early as 10:00 AM :) We always call and surprise guests that their rental is done much earlier than 4:00 PM, but our check-out time is sharp 10:00 AM and not flexible due to new arriving guests who also would appreciate an earlier check in. A supermarket is only 200 yards for our home and dinner movie cinebistro, a post office and quiet a lot of restaurants are within 200 - 350 yards from this home also..... I wished you would have called me and I would have been happy to direct you.

Fantastic find in near Siesta Key!
My family had a wonderful stay at this property in Sarasota, a very clean and well-kept home with a lovely backyard in a quiet neighborhood. We had lots of fun relaxing in the pool every day after returning from the beach. This home is just around the corner from retail and restaurants, and just a short drive from Siesta Key. Excellent communication from Virginia made our stay easy peasy! Highly recommend, thank you so much!

Christmas get away
Wonderful location, we walked to Esporta gym, Aldi's, local restaurants and bars. The pool was heated and we enjoyed it every day of our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. The home is very clean and well maintained. We stayed here a year ago and loved it then and now!

Beautiful home in a safe and nice neighborhood. The yard is private and home was clean & cozy
Great getaway for single traveler or couple or small family. Master bedroom had a great bed w/ a nice seating area and wine bar. The kitchen had all the amenities of cookware needed as well as a shelf of spices, salt and pepper which came in handy. Yard was lovely and quiet, pool was clean as well as entire home. I felt safe staying there alone. Downside was the rain which isnt owners fault but the pool was chilly due to not being a sunny week. I would suggest having a choice to heat the pool for cooler days/nights. Everything else was perfect!! The inside decor was tasteful and internet fast. The owner was very sweet and available for any questions I had. Would definitely come back and recommend staying here.

To the pool heater: We start heating all pools as soon as the outside temperatures drop (which is end of October/beginning of November until April), but unfortunately you were here during September where the outside temperatures were still between F90-95 and the pool temperature was still around F86 when we checked.... Serenity in Sarasota
We were pleased to find the property was as beautiful as advertised. It was very clean which made us feel safe during these COVID times. The neighborhood was quiet and close to Siesta Key Beach, downtown Sarasota and even not too far from St. Petersburg. Our favorite day was hanging out by the amazing pool which provided privacy and is surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The house is stylishly furnished and has well chosen art work. Overall we highly recommend staying there and would definitely go back, next time we will bring other family members since there is plenty of room.

Christmas 2020
Great location, near stores, restaurants, rode our bikes to Siesta beach one day. Easy check in and Virginia is quick to respond and is helpful. The house is clean and provides plenty of space. We found the beds to be very comfortable 😀. The pool is fantastic, on a evening of a rainstorm, we sat under the patio roof and still enjoyed the outdoors.

Great experience at a very nice house
This house had everything we were looking for yet still at a reasonable price. It was centrally located close to everything by a short car ride. The kitchen was big enough to cook in and we really utilized all the outdoor spaces, which are lovely.

We had such a lovely time at the Tulip house! So much so that the children have tagged it the "holiday house" and are asking to go back. It was our first time in Sarasota and will definitely not the last. Lovely quiet neighborhood and an easy drive to the best beach ever! The Pool was amazing!

Lovely property situated in a convenient location, close to all local amenities
We had a lovely five night stay at this central Sarasota property. Very clean and simple check-in and check-out process. Very impressed by the flexibility of the owner on allowing us an extra 5 hours stay at the property on the last day, which helped in on onward traveling arrangements. Walkable to local shops (i.e. Publix, Macy's, etc.), and to local restaurants - although we were perhaps lazy and used the car on most occasions.

Superb Siesta stay
This house was the perfect location and style for our stay. The updated house was clean and provided everything we needed for our vacation. The property manager was very accommodating and responsive. The house was just he right size and the perfect location to Siesta Key and Lido beaches. I highly recommend this property for your Sarasota vacation. The neighborhood is quiet and the backyard is wonderful for after beach activities. We will be back!

Girls weekend getaway
Tulip House was the perfect place for our girls getaway. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us and the pool was fantastic. We spent many hours out there just enjoying the Florida sun. The location of the house couldn’t have been more perfect. We were within 5 miles of everywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful time at the holiday house. It has been decorated beautifully and well maintained. It is also a great location to the beaches. Whilst we stayed there, during Christmas week, the boiler broke down on Christmas Eve. The owners were able to arrange a plumber to come out within 2 hours and temporarily fix it and then replaced the whole boiler within 2 days. Very impressive management. If I could make any suggestions, it would be to provide some melamine tableware for outside dining. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if we holiday in the same area.
