The owner was very responsive to every question that we had. The cottage was immaculate...the cleanliness was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and more than met our needs. The location can't be beat. It was exactly a 15 minute walk to St Armands Circle. If you don't want to walk, there are bikes available. If you don't want to walk or bike, there is a stop for the Bay Runner (the local trolley) right across from the property. The trolley runs every 20 minutes and can transport you to St Armands Circle or downtown Sarasota. The beach is a five minute walk from the property. The cottage comes with beach umbrellas, beach chairs, beach towels and a wagon to haul it it all to the beach...all you need to bring is a bathing suit, sunglasses and sunscreen! Super short walk to the beach. Lots of beach items to borrow: chairs, umbrella, floats… House was bright and clean. We felt super comfortable there like we were home. Mattress was great . Smart TV did not have local channels for watching the Tampa Bay Rays which my husband was upset about. The steps leading up to the second floor to get in may need fixed. The host is actually wonderful and goes above and beyond. The property is exactly as described. The location is rigjt across from the beach and free trolley access that takes you to st armands circle and downtown sarasota. So easy access to great food without the need of driving. This property was awesome! LaVeda has EVERYTHING you need for the beach! Umbrellas, chairs, towels, boogie boards, ect. the list goes on! The guest house was very clean, stocked, and perfect for a couple! The beach entrance is visible from the property, and St. Armand’s is close as well. We felt very comfortable in this beautiful, cute holiday apartment. The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable. The apartment is fully equipped and there are also enough kitchen utensils. In the garage you will find everything you need for the beach. The gas grill also worked well, so we could grill too. The beach can be reached in two minutes on foot. There are also many other beaches that are a little further away and are all very beautiful. St. Armands Circle is also within walking distance. The communication in advance with LaVeda worked great. My new husband and I stayed at the guest house for a week on our honeymoon. We had both never been to the Sarasota/Anna Maria Island area, and were blown away with how beautiful it was. This stay is perfectly located 10 min from downtown Sarasota, and about 30-50 min from Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key. We were able to try out different beaches, and enjoy the activities in Sarasota. LaVeda was the perfect host. We couldn’t have asked for better communication or hospitality. Her guest house was equipped with everything we needed and more. What we loved the most was how this stay has bikes! We normally rent bikes on our trips, but this allowed us to save some money. We biked to St. Armand’s and to the beach to watch sunsets throughout the week. The beach equipment and bikes were very thoughtful and made our stay so enjoyable.
