Our listing clearly states and the photos show what is offered in our Village Hideaway - an efficiency with a private bathroom and entrance. Guests who need particular ammenities should use the filters when searching for a property to book so not to be disappointed. This guest clearly didn't read the listing in its entirety.

Thanks for the review. Just a suggestion, if there are certain ammenities you would prefer - tv or a desk - be sure to read the listing and use the filters on the apps to find what you want before booking. Re: the new shower stall, it is 32" wide and the shower head is installed to code - you are a much taller than average fellow.

Nicholas I’m sorry that our home did not meet your expectations for a secluded location for your one-night stay. Ultimately potential guests will see beyond your review when they read how others have enjoyed the convenience of our location to walk downtown via the road or the railroad tracks behind our house (soon to be a rail trail), our proximity to things to do, places to dine and play, and especially how the efficiency is thoughtfully and meticulously cared for. I take pride in providing guests with a clean, comfortable, safe place to stay in town while on vacation or a work trip. I am fastidious as a host which has earned me Premier Partner status with VRBO, Expedia partners, and as a Super Host with Airbnb for many years. Most people who book our place enjoy the unique nature of my home. Many guests take advantage of my wellness center, including booking private yoga, meditation, and qigong sessions, receiving Reiki or Sound Healing or personalized Yoga Therapy. Most people come to enjoy activities in the woods and on the water then returning to our place, they park their vehicle and walk downtown for dining, drinks, festivities, shopping, etc. This was an unfortunate situation as it does not appear that you read my listing which is complete with a paragraph describing our neighborhood and shows ample photos. Had you called immediately after booking, your questions would have been answered, you could have cancelled, and would have been refunded. Let’s review so others can understand what took place. You instant booked our efficiency at 9:41AM Friday for the following night with no message attached or that you wanted me to contact you. I responded to the booking confirmation at 10:17AM giving you the room access and my contact information. I did not hear from you until you called at 6:45PM - the night of your arrival -. apparently from my parking lot as I saw the vehicle leave right after we hung up. You said, “It is unfortunate but, we are unable to make it to your place” then asked if you could cancel. I said, “it was too late to rebook the one night or the weekend.” Since you booked Sat. nt. on Fri. morning no one else could have booked the weekend. In my experience, lodging facilities do not allow refunds for cancellations made after 4 or 5:00 pm on the date of arrival, however it has always been my policy that if I am able to rebook dates cancelled, I refund guests, often to their surprise. I wish you would have knocked on our door so we could have spoken in person. The efficiency you booked is in the rear of our home and does not face the road or the traffic light. During the day there is traffic with people coming and going from town, but it is quiet at night as noted by other guests. I’m sorry the one-night weekend room rate of $111 was forfeited but, worse is that you gave me an unfair evaluation without staying with us. I suggest with future bookings you make that you use google to view the property and surrounding area if you
