"Nice hotel in a very old building in a good area. Walking distance to the River front, dining, music, shopping. Good size room, clean. Very nice and accommodating staff. The building has an elevator. I would stay there again."

"Staff were nice enough but not overly helpful. We actually had two separate bookings. First one was for 2 days and then we added another day. We asked what rates were available as they had a few empty rooms. We actually ended up booking through Expedia again because it was quite a bit less than what they offered at the front counter. There was nothing being offered to guests at check in - water or a complementary drink like most other 4 star hotels in Europe. There was a foul smell in the lobby during the three days. The hotel seems to be relying on people willing to accept less than other comparable hotels due to its proximity to the Douro River. Great location but otherwise it’s an average hotel."

"WONDERFUL!!! All The Staff were Wonderful !!! The Location was Great! if the Rooftop had a handrail & foot tiles were abitmore secure but thats it, oh & if the ubers would Drop-off at hotel not down corner or down next block thank God we travel light."

"The room was spotless, if you can get over no natural light in the rooms, it is a great place to hangout. The staff are amazing and the bar downstairs is epic. The roof terrace is a great place to meet people and look out over the surrounding area."
