The room was big a bit basic but the kitchenette was a nice addition. Basically nothing wrong but not anything to get excited about. Check in and check out was another matter. Our taxi dropped us off and we entered the big lobby area which is precisely what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. Except for one thing, there was no one there the words zombie apocalypse come to mind. We eventually found a security guard who directed us to a building across the road, the big building which actually had the name of the hotel on it seems to have closed down, no real explanation. Anyway we finally find reception and begin check in. This took far longer than it should. I’ve been in china for 3 years so am used to check in taking a bit longer since there are a few more checks but it still took about 40 minutes, the big issue is that reception isn’t inside an enclosed space, it’s a bit hard to describe but the salient fact is there is no air con and it was in the high 30s.We were then told that the booking team weren’t in so we would have to pay 800rmb deposit which we would get back the next day when they could check the booking. I’ve never come across this before and couldn’t understand how she couldn’t just look up our booking on the system but after 40 minutes in the sweat box we were desperate and just paid admittedly we got it back but it was a ridiculous situation. The staff was very unfriendly and they couldn’t speak either English or Russian. The room was very old and had almost no electrical sockets. The room was poorly lit and the breakfast was disgusting. Overall, this hotel is nowhere near 5 stars. Its max 2-3 stars. The beds are rock hard - like sleeping on a plank (and I like hard beds). Walls are very thin and the Chinese tourists are very loud. The staff don't speak any English. The breakfast is very unappealing. The beach is far (a good 10-12 minute walk in the heat), although there is a shuttle. Rooms are run down and stink of cigarette smoke. Pros: the pool area is good. The bathroom is decent. Next time, I would pay that little bit extra and stay somewhere a bit nicer. Стандартный Номер, 2 Односпальные Кровати, Вид На Внутренний Двор. Поселили нас в корпус 2 на 6 этаже с видом на основной корпус, дорогу и немного было видно море, совсем чуть-чуть. При заселении заплатили городской налог по 9 юаней с человека за сутки, вышло в итоге 324 юаней. Жили мы в номере с двумя кроватями, кровати широкие, спали на одной, было вполне уютно. Странно, что такая существенная доплата за широкую кровать. Дорога шумная, постоянный гул, поэтому всегда закрывали дверь на балкон. Противоположный вид у этого корпуса на очень активную стройку, люди были крайне не довольны, но и цена была у этих номеров ниже. Существенный плюс - есть переводчик, при заселении и выселении менеджер звонила русско-китайскому переводчику. Ходить на завтрак приходилось через дорогу в основной корпус, дорога оживленная, поэтому каждый раз приходилось испытывать стресс при переходе улицы. Завтраки были вкусные европейские, ходили на 70% завтраков, особо не надоели. Пляж далеко, идти минут 10, прямой дороги нет, электрокары ходят раз в полчаса, это слегка напрягало. На пляже всегда были свободные места, но в море иногда было много мусора - его никто не убирал, плавали даже огромные пакеты и стаканчики, кокосы, было противно заходить в море. Еще плюс - выдают бесплатно wi-fi роутер на номер. В отеле очень много русских, на пляже почти все русские, что иногда не давало расслабиться. Rummen var rymliga men sängarna hårda, "balkongen" gick inte att använda då den var upptagen av byggnadsdamm. Bra frukost ingick. Personalen kan knappt någon engelska, men bra ryska vilket är bra om man kan det själv. Trevlig vinbar i samma byggnad som annexet. Hotellet har ingen egen pool, men har en avgränsad del på stranden med solsängar. El hotel es extraño,al llegar a la recepción principal,que tiene bastante buen aspecto,nos derivaron a un edificio supletorio,cruzando incluso una carretera.Nadie habla una palabra de ingles.El hotel está lleno de rusos.El desayuno buffet bastante bueno. Hay que dejar 500 yuanes en efectivo como deposito al llegar (ocurre en la mayoría de los hoteles de China). Frukosten var okej, men inte fantastisk, blandat kinesiskt och västerländskt. Väldigt lortiga golv på hotellrummet (toaletten dock ren), men annars okej rum. Hotellet hade egen avdelning på stranden med solstolar och parasoll, strandhandduk fanns på rummet att ta med. Gångavstånd till stranden. Personalen var riktigt dåliga på engelska tyvärr, det var svårt att fråga något överhuvudtaget. Bilderna på rummen motsvarar verkligheten. Taxi från flygplatsen kostade ca 85rmb till hotellet. Turister bodde i en annan byggnad än den som finns på bilden här, men det låg just intill huvudbyggnaden, och det var inget som gjorde något. It is very difficult to hire taxi at the hotel ##### Verified traveller ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 12 Feb 2013 #### 前台服务欠佳!房间信号不好！ 这次入住三亚宝宏大酒店让我留下了不算好的印象。预订后才发现住的是副楼，虽说副楼是新楼，床铺设备什么的都比较干净，但是副楼的工作人员明显没有主楼的齐，有经验。我记得当天凌晨三点左右到三亚，因为预定部门出了问题，把我原先预定的两间房间看成了一间房间，即便我出示我的预定订单，酒店前台还是坚持不让我入住。僵持了半个小时，我给hotels.com的外语客服打电话，又和前台争执后前台才最后妥协。第二天才发现是预定部门的疏忽。还有一个关于房间信号的问题，刚开始我住的是二层，房间信号只有两格，打电话都基本听不清声音。所谓的无线网络信号是需要向前台借路由器再接上网线才可以无线上网。简而言之，我不喜欢这家酒店。 ##### Verified traveller ### 8/10 Good #### Erica 4 Jan 2013 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### No Bathtub in our room, otherwise great hotel We chose this hotel over others for the bathtub (I have a small daughter). But there wasn't one in our room. Otherwise, the hotel and room were nice. They came into our room multiple times a day to clean. The variety of the food available at the breakfast buffet made up for the lack in quality of the food. Also, people smoke everywhere - including breakfast. The location is not as stated on the map! It is more south and also, the pictures are old. Now the hotel has a lot of highrises around and more are being built. The hotel building on the picture is for business guests, tourists are places in another building across the street. Now, it's very nice too but you have to walk to the main building to breakfast. No WiFi in the room (cable available) and the one in the lobby is slow. Free shuttle to the beach but it is close to walk too. Beatch towels are included. Quite busy street outside the hotel but that was no problem. Mountain view = street view but the mountain is visible. Balcony but no chair there. Easy to get a taxi even early in the morning (about 60 yuan to Airport). Bus #8 from Airport stops on the main street, just 5 min walk away. Many local buses to Sanya (1 yuan).
