The hostel is perfectly located - close to attractions, restaurants and public transport, and just round the corner from a supermarket. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though it is a hostel, it didn't have a hostel vibe - more a hotel vibe. The rooms are large and spacious, and very clean but the mattresses are old and not very comfortable. Overall, would still recommend this hostel as it is incredibly cheap for what you get and the location and staff are amazing.

To my experience of traveling frequently around the world, it would be hard to find a place like this when it comes to the location and comfort as a hostel. It is a very good value for money and close to the metro station which easily gives you the access to the whole city.

The staff was not very caring. The breakfast is too expensive. The bathroom is bad, it would be so much better to remove that useless and dangerous (people can easily slip and have an accident) elevated bathtub. It always floods. I god an upper bed and it had no railing, making it hard to get on the bed and I kept thinking I could easily move and fall down. I loved the location, it's perfect. I also like that it was a bathroom inside de dorm room. I also liked the fact that beda have an extra space for luggage and personal belongings, which helps people not to leave things all over the place.

Its more run down than the pictures suggest. My mattress was pretty worn out, as were sheets and towels. Suite suggests a kitchen, but its a water kettle and microwave and 4 cups, that's all. Location wise, its fine if you want to be in the center, but why would you really? Also, even on the 8th floor, the bus stop directly below with traffic all night long, made sleep impossible without ear plugs

The staff was helpful and spoke English which was appreciated. The rooms were clean. The breakfast looked good but I didn’t have any 3500 clp. Something to note was that I wasn’t sure if it was also a shelter, some of the people in my room did not appear like travellers, they felt like people who are local but with no housing...

Great location downtown - that's it.
I booked for a bed in a 4 bed dorm but that was a false advertising because it was actually a 8 dusty bed dorm as it was two areas with 4 beds separated by a tiny doorless hall with the lockers and the toilet. So it was a 8 bed dorm for 1 toilet. completely different of what it was advertised. Despite this it was a basic hostel with problems with the amount of guests - the breakfast area was minuscule so people had to had take their food to the lobby to eat. Not sure if I would recommend it.

Central hostel but noisy traffic
Hostel itself was pleasant, stayed in a private room which was nice and reasonably priced. Room had ensuite, a sofa area and a small kitchenette. There was a microwave and kettle but strangely no cultery or crockery. However the hostel itself had a communal kitchen which provided these and a fridge. Convenient central location. However, it was very noisy, even at night on the 5th floor, due to traffic, bus station directly outside & drunks in midweek. Note that some of the rooms on higher floors may hear the music which is played every night in the terrace bar from 8pm-12am(?) Staff seemed generally ok, but the only service I required was for them to book my taxi to the airport, which they offer. However it turned out the next morning my taxi had not been booked which was very stressful. The staff that morning did help me manage this by arranging a fair price for a cab on the street to take me there.

Not for the faint-hearted and not for the just over 70's travellers. Definitely a young persons hotel/hostel. The reason for not recommending this hotel to friends is, the majority of our friends are seniors. The location is great, very convenient the metro, buses and attraction.

Great location.
So close to Centro. Room was great. Specious with separate living and kitchen area. Best of all the front desk staff. So so helpful. Our luggage did not arrive with our flight. It took five days to get it. They all help us to call for our luggage. Absolutely wonderful.

Good location for daytime sightseeing
Stayed 5 nights here and while the location was good for daytime sightseeing and taking the metro, there are no nice restaurants on the doorstep and local friends and the reception staff told me to be wary coming back to this area at night - not ideal as a solo female traveller. The room was spacious and as nicely decorated as the pictures show, the bathroom lovely with ample hot water. I'm sure as a hostel this place is great, and certainly the staff were friendly and breakfast great. But a few little things meant it wasn't up to usual hotel standards for the money. The towels were thin and hard, and on the first day stained. The first day the shower also had hair in the plug hole and the standing fan didn't work. There's a kitchenette area with microwave and sink but no fridge to keep water cold. No wifi signal from the bed, not even enough for a whatsapp msg, they only came though if you're standing by the door which was really inconvenient. Definitely no chance at skyping or downloading a movie here. Also no power outlet near the bedside which is a real pain.

The hostel was decent for the price. Front desk staff were very helpful and were able to call us an Uber taxi for the ride to the airport. Beware of pickpocket thieves in the area. An attempt was made but we had been warned about them, so did not become a victim of their scam. For this reason, we would probably stay in a different area next time.

Convenient Accommodation
We had a hiccup when we arrived and our booking was not on the system. So instead of a private room, we had to stay in an 8-female shared room which was not very ideal. The staff was very apologetic and agreed to refund the first night as our second night would be in a private room. The shared room, as well as the private room, was clean and tidy. The bathroom in the shared room could be cleaner, but since it was shared between 8, it could have been worst. Our private room was very spacious. WIFI connection in the room was decent, but the connection is not very stable. The location was amazing. Supermarket close by with eateries, museums and metro station, all within walking distance.

Beware!
When we arrived CLH Suites Apartment they told us they did not have our booking and had no rooms. They then arranged for us to stay at a hostel about 3km away. The replacement accommodation was not the same quality that we were expecting and we had to pay for it out of our own pocket. After a few emails and a call to Hotels.com the tax we had paid and the reward value we had used were refunded. Be careful when booking this hotel. I suggest phoning them before leaving to make sure they have your booking and getting written confirmation directly from them. I suspect that the booking for the apartment is a scam to on sell accommodation at other hostels.

the stay was good. Me and my friend had a private room to ourselfs. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm which was good being that it was winter. Didn't really watch TV but it seemed to have a wide range of channels most with options to change to English. bathroom was good and got cleaned every day. i didn't get to make it down to the free breakfast vut other people in the building said it was simple but good.

Great central location in Santiago
CLH was refered to me by a friend and I had a look at the place and immediately booked it for my last night in Santiago. They let me store my big pack for 3 days while I went to Valparaiso. When I came bac,k the manager immediately greeted and welcomed me. I booked a private suite that was large and clean and airy. Huge windows allowed the cool night air in. No ac but really not required in spite of the daytime temps getting uo to 35c or 90+f. Breakfast was buffet style and they really do a good job with it. Best breakfast I had in almost 5 weeks in South America. Location location! This place is well situated to walk to any of the highlight areas. In between two subway stops. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

Buona soluzione minimal in centro
Un mix tra un hotel e un ostello. D'altronde la struttura offre sia camere d'albergo che la soluzione ad ostello. Le camere sono molto ampie con una sorta di salottino e poi la camera da letto con il bagno. Pochi mobili, ma funzionali. Letti grandi e puliti. Ottimo internet con un router in ogni stanza. Personale cortese e che parla varie lingue. C'è la possibilità di usare la cucina per i pasti. La colazione è abbastanza striminzita, non so quanto ne valga la pena. Buona soluzione centrale vicino alla metro. A piedi si raggiungono molte attrazioni del centro.
