Muy moderno y bueno en general. No tiene mini refrigerador, y para la temperatura de la habitación sólo tenía disponible la calefacción debido a regulaciones de la ciudad según la época del año…

Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. The place was horribly musty and dusty. Some staff were friendly and helpful, others didn’t care. Lugging your own suitcases up and down two flights of very steep stairs wasn’t ideal. The town still uses its clock tower every 15 minutes to alert people of the time so be warned you can hear it and it kept us awake. Lord knows why when everyone has a watch or phone these days. It’s a cool historic thing, but maybe consider only doing it during daylight hours. Can also hear music from nearby nightclubs and we were told that we were in the quietest room so can’t imagine what noise is like from other rooms. The stone walls in the rooms and overall decor is rustic and nice. Overall a pretty average stay even for the price point.

First the good news. Very convenient location one minute from the cathedral. Room was clean and adequate. Bad news. Touring through Spain for three weeks, this room was the most expensive and the smallest. Check in was a disaster. Briefing said check in was from 2 pm. Arrived at 4 to find the property was locked up. Then read the special instructions which said it was manned only to 3. Should have been made clear. With difficulty found a phone number and sent the code to get in. However it came by WhatsApp which I do not usually use. More problems but we eventually got in. Briefing said there was a bar. No, not a bar. Said there was room service. No as well. Also said parking was 10 Euros a day. I finished up paying 33 for less than two days parking. So if you stay here, be prepared for some disappointments.

The property is centrally located near a short walk to the cathedral. Stuffed hours are very limited, but arrangements can be made for later arrivals using lockboxes. The room was spacious and pleasant if slightly worn.

The property was centrally located to the cathedral, bus across the street, had some Chinese food 10 minute walk from the hotel, great walk, food and safe feeling walking at night. The morning breakfast was super, lots to eat and drink there is nothing that someone couldn’t find to eat on the diet restrictions of today.

Very helpful staff even for our 2327 arrival at the hotel. The quality of the breakfast was high and extremely good value. The position of the hotel is within 50m of the cathedral and in the old part of the city. The breakfast could be taken in the breakfast room or in another open space close to reception. The internal spaces are modern yet they have retained, as features in the rooms, stonework from the buildings early development. Great hotel.

nice room but bad service
shower head was broken got soaked I'm close water when turned on shower on first night, on a Friday, told nothing could be done until Monday. Monday came and went still not fixed. Window would not shut, I was told o was it doing it right, went back and said it still didn't close and then he said, well that's the way it is. came back from a day of sight seeing and the room wasnt cleaned. They said I must of have the Do Not Disturb sign up, It was not, they came on to room and left clean towels on bed but nothing was cleaned.

A good way to end ur Camino. Good location just up the street from the cathedral. Get a off the street room! The bar across the street is loud. The internet is poor, probably due to the thickness of the old walls.

This hotel is very centrally located in the old town. The staff were friendly and courteous. Our problem was the noise. Inside we could hear the conversations in the room next door via our open windows onto the balcony. The wooden floor of the room above us creaked noisily whenever anyone walked on it. However the worst part was the loud drunken shouting and singing in the street outside that continued until nearly 6a.m. :( Shutting the window wasn't enough to block out the racket. When I mentioned the noise to reception staff they said it was a Saturday and coming up to a local fiesta time. I suggest you ask for a quiet room but we are unlikely to be going back to what is otherwise a great little hotel.

Great stay
The hotel is in a great location and has a friendly staff. You are very close to the cathedral and lots of restaurants and landmarks. The room was very modern and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santiago.

Lovely Hotel in centre, noise a problem at night.
Fantastic UNESCO listed city. Great location close to all major attractions in the Old City. Hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. we had a lovely room to the front of the property with a small balcony. All sounds lovely. On Saturday night however, the neighbouring bars were open until 4am.The noise went on until near 6am. The room itself has no air conditioning and even at this time of year was incredibly warm but due to noise outside unable to leave window open. Reception staff advised me that all rooms would be affected by surrounding establishments noise. I think a room towards the back would have been better.

Great hotel, perfect location
Hotel Montenegro is a great little hotel. The front desk staff was really helpful, the room was spacious and clean, and breakfast (which was included in our room rate) was excellent. Note that the hotel has no air conditioning and our room was very hot when we arrived due to all the south facing windows, but the staff got us a portable air conditioner and it worked very well to bring the temp down. A huge plus for this hotel is that it's located less than 100 meters from the entrance to the cathedral, putting it right in the heart of the old city. Very convenient for sightseeing, walking, and visiting cafes, restaurants and bars. We recommend Hotel Montenegro!

Great Hotel for Camino Hikers
This hotel is very close to the cathedral. The room was excellent and very large for a small hotel in Spain. The people at the desk were very helpful, and we had a very pleasant stay.
