We spent 5 nights at the hotel, which lived up to expectation. The room was beautifully decorated with a comfortable four poster bed. We could not fault the staff who were welcoming & attentive. The bar & restaurants were excellent, the food was of a high quality and live music was played most nights of our stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were amazing and looked better than advertised. An added bonus with happy hour free between 6-8 with a selection of wine and beer. We didn't use the car due to the size of our group, but ubet was only $11 to the main area of Santa Monica. There was a great park a short walk from the hotel that my son loved.

The space and living area in the family suites are amazing. Coupled with the convenient location, staying here is a brilliant, affordable short break. For UK visitors, it’s a bit like an exclusive, upmarket hostel. Everything is here and largely clean and comfortable. But maintenance is general rather than detailed. Great location, comfy and clean with everything you need for an affordable but completely satisfactory and enjoyable stay in LA. Will recommend to all friends and family visiting.

A lovely well maintained property. I travelled with my young son (age 4) and I would say that the hotel is more for adults and the food/ amenities are not really for children. However, I knew this before booking the hotel and it didn’t take away from the experience. A special mention -Alejandro, who worked at the ground level restaurant-he always made my little boy and I feel special and well looked after. I would happily stay again the next time we are in Santa Monica.

Stayed for 2 nights at the start of a road trip and 1 night at the end of our road trip. Returned at the end of our road trip and we had been moved to an upgraded room which was nice of them! Nice touches like a welcome note and cookies left on the side in the room. Staff all really helpful and friendly. A real homely feel to the place. Complimentary bikes which was AMAZING. Cycled all the way down the beach to Venice and back.

Lovely room, comfortable and staff so helpful

Brilliant stay, the room was clean, tidy and provided with a coffee machine, safe and all the bits you could want for a comfortable stay. The shower was amazing. The balcony and view was a great addition, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back to stay again

Great hotel with large suites. Only drawback is poor descriptions of suite types. We would have liked a room with a view, but were at the back of the hotel and the small balcony was facing the apartment building behind. Its a converted apartment building with room access from an open courtyard with central pool. As all rooms are slightly different, they don't all have desks, so I ended up working on laptop balanced on a pile of books because no rooms with desks available. Annoying for a business...

Great location so close to the pier. Staff were all friendly and the facilities were great with a nice bar area, small fitness room and outdoor pool. Location was ideal for visiting Santa Monica and exploring the pier, beach and along to Venice area too.

Great location for the beach and pier and downtown Santa Monica. The beach package of towels, boogie boards, chairs and umbrella was great, we had so much fun playing in the waves. Pool was lovely, only gripe was that the lounge chairs are situated too close the the pool, which meant we got a lot of side eye and tutting when the kids splashed whilst swimming. Lovely and clean rooms along with common areas. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was great. In a nice, safe neighbourhood which was only around $15 in an uber to get into Santa Monica. Would stay again if in the area
