"Beautiful boutique property. So private in the rainforest with a beautiful beach where we didn’t see a single person all day. The staff is wonderful and the food was delicious. They do a 3 course meal every night for dinner and a lovely breakfast every morning. The staff’s little surprises throughout our stay made it special, such as filling our tub with flower petals while we were on an excursion or setting up a private breakfast by the beach one morning. What is the best area to stay in Santa Joaquina?
The best area to stay in Santa Joaquina is along the beachfront, particularly near the main stretch of Praia Grande.

This area is the heart of Santa Joaquina, offering direct access to the most popular beach. You'll find a selection of guesthouses and a few larger resorts scattered along the coast, with most amenities within a short walk. The main road running parallel to the beach connects these establishments.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find this period superb for enjoying the pristine beaches and the calm, clear waters for swimming or snorkelling. The clear skies are also excellent for stargazing in the evenings, away from city lights.

For solo travellers interested in hiking and exploring the diverse landscapes, the dry season offers the best conditions for trekking through the Obo Natural Park, which is easily accessible from Santa Joaquina.
