It’s a beautiful hotel. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had a few issues when we first got to our room but they sent someone to fix them right away. The town of Los Olivos is charming and we enjoyed walking into town to shop and eat. Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful property and amazing restaurant. Room was lovely and unique. Made many attempts to schedule a spa appointment, and neither on line or call in system seemed to work—but its a newer property and I’m sure that will get ironed out as they move forward. Amazing location in the Santa Ynez valley.

Heaven!

We recently stayed at Mattei's Tavern for 5 days to celebrate our 40th anniversary. I don't know how to describe how perfect our stay was! Our room was glorious ...the bedding was so luxurious and comfortable. The food, wine and service was spectacular. Everything in town was walkable. The pool area at Mattei's was beautiful and the perfect spot to relax. We will be back!

Mom & Dad Night Away

Wonderful quick stay for a mom and dad getaway night in Jan. The Inn was charming and everything you would expect from an Auberge. The bed was super comfy, had thoughtful touches like delicious olives and nuts in our room on arrival, on point decor and excellent staff. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast at the Tavern. The room literally still smelled new (they opened exactly a year ago) and we hope to visit again when the weather is warmer to enjoy the beautiful pool area and great patio off the room.

This hotel was amazing. Simple yet refined. Rustic but elegant. Every detail was thought of. Great pool. I was surprised by how many children there were but it wasn’t too loud. The staff was so wonderful but the pool bar was quite slow. We ate at the tavern one night and it was delicious.

Amazing stay overall!

The hotel is amazing overall. Rooms are beautiful and nicely appointed, also quiet. Food is creative and delicious. Service is solid. Pool is beautiful with a cool bar. The location is perfect. One complaint is the water pressure in our shower was abysmal. Old building? Auberge should have fixed this, as it was barely enough to shower, but we may have just gotten a lesser room having booked through a third-party site. Regardless, I’d book again for sure. Great stay.
