"The pictures were definitely misleading and shot with a wide angle camera and maybe a bit of touch up. The room was small, dim and definitely did not have the "retro" vibe the pictures are going for. The staff at check-in wasnt rude, but definitely not friendly either. Our biggest issue was with the noise level. None of our neighbors were exessive loud, but the walls and floors were paper thin and we could hear everything, steps, TV and coversations. We had a hard time falling asleep even with earplugs. If this was some kind of cheap motel I would not be upset, however for the price we expected a LOT more. "

"This place was a great stay. It’s a small hacienda style hotel with a nice inner courtyard. Nothing fancy, but nice. I’d give it a 5 star, but we had a small ant problem(which was promptly fixed). The breakfast is very good, and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again. "

"The staff was kind, caring and understanding when we told them there was mold above the bath tub, paint peeling on walls of the bathroom and 2 screen were torn. Baseboards were also dirty in main room along with glassware on the kitchen. I felt dirty sleeping in the bed after we saw black specks in the sheets."

"Pros: valet team was great. Great location. Pretty lobby Cons: very loud, super small (deceptively small) rooms, water temp inconsistent, housekeeping entered room without knocking 1 hour before check-out (with do not disturb sign on), small bathroom; can barely move in the room "

"The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The valet staff was especially friendly "

"The hotel is more of a motel, with most of the rooms facing the garden and parking. I was here for business and it happened to be during spring break. There were college students arriving late at night and being very loud. I had to call reception to ask them to go to their rooms. Turns out, the front desk closes at 11P and there is no one monitoring the property. Also, the walls are pretty thin, so I could hear my neighbors talking (unclear words, yet noise). And the lower level rooms do not get a lot of sun. The beds are comfortable and breakfast is nice enough for a hotel. I prefer the sister property, Brisas, but they're higher priced most nights."
