The Cottage
On arrival, step into a bright, welcoming entrance vestibule with space for coats, shoes and muddy boots.
In the beautifully presented, stylish sitting room, enjoy the ultimate in relaxation by sinking into the super-comfy double sofas, enjoy a favourite show on the large smart TV, enjoy family games night or simply relax by the cosy wood burner after a day exploring the stunning local countryside.
The modern, fully equipped kitchen makes preparing anything from a light lunch to a full evening feast a pleasure with the central island providing a cosy, social space for dining and gathering with friends or family.
Sleeping Arrangements
Bedroom One – Ground Floor A spacious and inviting retreat with a super-comfortable Super King bed, smart TV, and plenty of room to unpack and settle in. The perfect peaceful space to relax and recharge after a day exploring the stunning Dumfries & Galloway countryside.
Bedroom Two – First Floor Bright, cheerful, and ideal for children or friends, this room sleeps two in comfortable single beds. Light-filled and tastefully decorated, it’s a relaxing space to unwind and comes with its own smart TV for entertainment.
Bedroom Three – First Floor Another generously sized and beautifully styled bedroom featuring a Super King bed. This room also benefits from its own smart TV, offering comfort and privacy for a restful night’s sleep.

Family Bathroom – Ground Floor The spacious bathroom has been decorated with relaxation in mind, with LED backlit mirror, L-shaped bath, heated towel rail, and refreshing shower, this is the perfect environment for relaxing or starting your day refreshed.

Explore the Local Area. Set on the edge of the peaceful hamlet of Crawick, just before the Lanarkshire border, you’ll be perfectly placed to enjoy both quiet countryside and inspiring local attractions.
Nearby is the remarkable Crawick Multiverse a 55‑acre outdoor land art landscape created by renowned designer Charles Jencks, transforming an old coal mine into a cosmic‑inspired world of spirals, stone circles and walking paths with spectacular valley views.
Just a short drive away is the historic town of Sanquhar, offering charming local shops, historic sites including ancient castle ruins, cafés, and the world’s oldest working post office. 30 minutes drive will take you to the magical Drumlanrig Castle, stroll through the beautiful rooms of the home of the Duke of Buccleuch, explore the wonderful gardens or take the kids for some fun at the adventure playground.
For lovers of the great outdoors, the wider region of Dumfries & Galloway beckons with scenic drives, forest walks, beaches, wildlife watching, and hidden gems throughout rolling hills and valleys. Whether you’re exploring land art, discovering local heritage, or simply soaking up peace and fresh air, this beautiful part of Scotland makes an ideal base for both adventure and relaxation.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
