Chop Wood, Carry Water - Lake front cottage with a cozy vibe

  • This cottage offers lake front views and beach access! The beach is only 100 ft from the front door and the famous Sandy Hook Pier is only a 2 minute stroll down the beach. The cottage sits on a double lot, leaving lots of space for fun activities, outdoor games and tents if you wanted to use the extra space of the yard! It has a large deck that wraps around most of the cottage and offers space to chill out on the patio furniture. A hammock is provided in the yard as well as 1 large fire pit for having fires (firewood is provided) and roasting marshmallows as well as a BBQ for those cookout days! Air conditioning is provided along with basic heating inside. The cottage is all 4 season and available in Winter as well, offering easy sled access to the lake for ice fishing or cross country skiing! The washer and dryer are available to guest's and a fully stocked kitchen and bar utensils for making fun cocktails and margarita's! What's a beach trip without margaritas haha. There are 3 beds and the space sleeps up to 7 people if someone wanted to sleep on the couch. The space is cozy and offers beach vibes in the Summer and has a warm cozy feel during Winter satys I hope the property is enjoyed by all who come for a visit!

This vacation home met our expectations very well. Clean, comfortable & well appointed. We loved being lakeside with the sound of the surf; proximity to the Sandy Hook pier was a nice bonus. The host responded promptly to the few queries that I had. Be prepared to bring your own bottled water as the tap water is from a well & tasted of iron. Access down to the beach from the front yard was not ideal, with several uneven steps and no handrail; after one descent, I was content to set my chair on the berm to enjoy the gorgeous view. Side trips to Gimli & Winnipeg Beach took no time at all thanks to the cabin’s location. We had a lovely week at this property & would definitely recommend it to friends looking for a beachfront holiday.
