"The house is in a secluded part of Marshall, offering solitude and respite. The walk from the house to Main Street is about 15 minutes, which is nice. The restaurants, and the entire town really, close early -- keep that in mind. Overall, the hosts were communicative and the house had everything we needed."

"We truly loved our stay at the Highland Hideaway!!! Very clean and cute place!! Everything you could need or want while your away from home The hot tub was amazing !! The owners are great people and made sure our stay was perfect!! 朗 we will definitely be back!! Plus the bonus is that we was able to walk up to the camels they have and was able to feed them and have our pictures taken with them ! "
Spacious Group Retreat w/ Game Room in Marshall!

"The property is beautiful and quiet. Lots of nature and wild animals. Plenty of space inside and out. The road to get to the house is a very narrow, steep, gravel road which had large ruts from a recent rain. A car with low clearance would have had trouble. There were quite a few bugs/spiders (dead and alive) in the home. The A/C was not on when we got there and it took awhile for it to cool down. This place would be good for large groups that are wanting to mainly stay at the home and enjoy activities there. We had a great time with our kids and grandkids."

"We had an absolutely amazing stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was much more than just a place to stay. The property itself was beautiful, peaceful, and full of unexpected surprises. The host was friendly, communicative, and extremely accommodating. The property was clean and stocked with everything we needed. One of our favorite highlights was discovering the loft is adjacent to a unique camel farm with accompanying emus, ducks, and chickens. This added so much charm and character to the property; it is located a fair distance from the loft, so it gives a farm vibe without actually being on the farm. There is a meet-and-greet with the camels that you do NOT want to miss. The real gem, though, was the incredible swim spot. It was the perfect place to relax, cool off, and enjoy the area's natural beauty. We spent hours there and made some wonderful memories. Everything was well-maintained, and the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxing, and fun for the whole family. If you're looking for a unique getaway with memorable experiences and beautiful surroundings, this is the place, we're at 2 visits and counting! Highly recommend! 🐪🐓🌿"

"What a wonderful stay at Plum Crooked Cottage! We absolutely loved it.The porches were one of our favorite parts of the trip. Sitting in the rocking chair on the front porch, listening to the creek, was so peaceful. The cottage is full of charm and character, with thoughtful details in every nook. The loveseats were incredibly comfortable, the bed was cozy, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful clawfoot tub.The location is perfect, just minutes from downtown Marshall, yet it still feels like a peaceful retreat. Our pup felt right at home, too.The thoughtful touches from the owners really made our stay special. The fresh bread, homemade jam, and other welcoming extras were such a treat and made us feel genuinely cared for.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Plum Crooked Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!"
