One of the best VRBO stays (we've had a lot!). Mary is an excellent host, and the location is ideal! We visited Martha's Vineyard, Boston, Plimoth, and most of Cape Cod's lighthouses! Made some incredible memories with my family!
Beautiful, bright and clean! It is perfectly located with lots of walking options to satisfy your needs. The bed was comfortable and did I say clean? Mary was a perfect host, such a pleasant personality. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The cottage was the cutest and cleanest of any I’ve visited. Our host, Mary, was just about the best person you could hope to meet and rent from. I’m so very happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Hope to be back again soon.
We absolutely loved our stay in the Rose Cottage. It felt a bit like a fairytale. The cottage was beautiful, and you can tell it has been well cared for. The beds and linens were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-appointed. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Our host, Mary, is one of the loveliest people I've ever met. She shared lots of recommendations, and she was close by if we had questions or needed anything. The town of Sandwich is filled with beautiful homes, has a fairly private beach, and includes the cutest tea house. Having tea with my daughters was a highlight of the trip. Highly, highly recommend this vacation home. We will be back.
Lovely cottage with everything you need. A wonderful place to catch your breath, gracious host, and lots of local activities…or just relax and enjoy the beautiful cottage.
It was just perfect! Such an idyllic cottage in the heart of beautiful Sandwich village. Mary was a most gracious host. We loved it and would definitely come back again
The most charming cottage in an absolutely idyllic Cape Cod setting!! All modern amenities were included in a brand new, well appointed cottage. The location was so convenient--just a short walk to restaurants and shops!!! Such a great place for sight seeing!! We could not stop taking pictures!! There were several beautiful walks right outside the door of the cottage and a precious tea room just across the street!! We stopped there twice during our stay. Wild life can be spotted right outside the cottage windows. We saw swans, turkeys, cardinals, red winged blackbirds, squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks and a turtle!! Mary was the perfect hostess! She lives on property and was very attentive to all of our needs--even buying an iron and ironing board for us to unwrinkle our summer linen clothing!!! If you go to the village of Sandwich THIS is the place to stay!!

Lovely small cottage on a small property in Sandwich. My only concern was that the owner scheduled a full day of yard work during my stay that ruined an entire day of my visit. This maintenance was not an emergency and, at the very least, could have been accomplished in a few hours rather than from morning until after six pm. The rental is very small as is the property si the work could have been scheduled after I checked out and a new tenant checked in. Instead, I was unable to use my private patio at all because of workman moving through it and around the cottage. It was most distressing and unsettling to have to remain inside the cottage listening to loud equipment, music and chatter all day.
This was our first trip to Cape Cod and we went with two young children. We were very impressed with the cottage- everything was brand new and the decor was perfect for a beach theme. The house is situated in a great location walking distance to town and attractions. Sandwich is a charming community with some of the friendliest people we have ever met- including Mary the property manager who checked in with us to make sure we were well-equipped during our stay. We had many different food options, gift shops, beaches, grocery, and nature trails within a 5 minute drive making it really easy to get around. We ventured out within a 30 minute-radius to explore other towns and beaches as well, making it a great location to explore the west and central cape, especially as a first-time visitor.
