Disliked: Communication
The home was nice, but our stay was significantly affected by a continuous ceiling leak near the front entrance. When we arrived, we stepped directly into a puddle of water.I cleaned up the initial water, emptied a drip bowl for the first two nights, kept our dog away from the plumbing contractor, and navigated workers coming and going through the house for repair. The leak was repaired by the evening of our final night, but it clearly affected the comfort and use of the property during much of our visit. I asked to discuss a refund, but the host declined, stating that the issue had been resolved and had not affected our use of the property. When I disagreed, I was told I was “taking advantage of the situation.”
