The best time to visit Sancos is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.During these months, you can expect clear skies and warm, sunny days with average temperatures around 20-25°C (68-77°F). This makes it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Ayacucho region, including the nearby waterfalls and hiking trails. The comfortable weather is great for outdoor activities without the worry of heavy rainfall. The shoulder months of April and November can also be a good option. While there's a slightly higher chance of rain, you'll find fewer crowds and potentially more favourable prices for accommodation and tours. The landscape can be particularly lush and green during these transition periods. We generally recommend avoiding the wet season, from December to March, as heavy rains can make some roads impassable and limit outdoor exploration.
