We had a great stay at the Hampton Inn San Simeon while visiting Hearst Castle. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location was very convenient. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was amazing and always fresh. We’d definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay despite some minor issues checking in due to a network outage for the hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and convenient for us. The breakfast was as expected and adequate for a complementary meal. The only gripe I had was that 2x was unable to reach the front desk by using the phone. No one responded, so I had to go in-person. Not sure what that was about, but overall we had a decent experience.

They have sausage eggs potatoes waffles. I'm on a diet so I have the oatmeal with the cranberries and a raspberry yogurt. My partner loved the food. Staff is very friendly

The amenities of this amazing Hampton Inn hotel at San Simeon were excellent in every way. The most important thing I can say about this hotel is the location. This goes out to all pet owners who truly care about your pets (dogs) especially when your dog gets really scare with the sounds of fireworks. We did not hear a single firework during our stay which was the main reason why we drove almost 5 hours from our residence. Perfect location for relaxation and great weather!!!

We enjoyed our stay and would choose this hotel again. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The location is close to most things and convenient. Breakfast was included which is a nice extra! And it was one of the few hotels in the Monterey area that had free parking. The only negative was that the walls were thin, but we were located on the backside away from the highway, which was great. We could hear people talking outside the room, in the hallways, or in the parking lot. But fortunately no one lingered and the noise was manageable. Thank you to all the staff members that helped make our stay great!

We asked for a new room because there was a 'smell', kind of like clean seaweed/ocean and cleaning products but the new room faintly smelled of it as well. The windows were open and even though it didn't smell this way outside, it appeared to be coming through the window. The room was very clean and comfortable. We asked for ear plugs, which never came our way. A smoke alarm went off at 2:10 a.m in our room only apparently and there was no reason found for it. Staff was very apologetic and we received a discount. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Fire pit was not working. The staff was very helpful, but the fire pit was still not working properly. Note there was another fire pit that was of the same make and brand that had a sign stating that it was "out of order". The pool also needed to be heated better. It was as if they only heated the pool during the day, but for evening swimming it was cold and not heated.

Good breakfast, clean facility. Free parking, free wifi! Part of the property is newly remodeled, but still needs some work. Outdoor pool is not warm even though it’s supposed to be heated.
