The building is old for a high-rise building, with few shops, and I think the upper floors are apartments other than the hotel on the first floor (sorry if I'm wrong). However, once inside the hotel, it is very new and clean, and appears to have been recently renovated. It is next to the train station in a neighborhood full of people hanging out, making noises, with loud music which makes it kind of sketchy. Police patrol cars are usually there "interacting" with the trouble makers. Being a hostel, the common are can be noisy, (teen agers preparing their meals at 1 or 2 in the morning). The check-in and check-out process was painless. The room was very clean but it wasn’t comfortable. The concrete floors and lack of closet space didn’t help. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The coffee machine was appreciated. The location is on the “other” side of the river. I had trouble locating it. Scary looking guys hanging out around the property. Even the lobby on the ground floor can use some maintenance. Dried potted plants still sit around. Perhaps, the ext. maint. is not the responsibility of C Enea Rooms. The property itself is clean & neat in contrast to the general appearance of the Atocha Tower. Location is unbeatable, the train/bus station is just next door. La Concha Beach, Aquarium & other points of interest are all within walking distance. Gotta mention Onix who was so nice to deal with. She's very friendly & helpful. Thanks so much!! Rooms are spacious & in good shape.
