Comfortable hotel at San Roque Golf Club
I had a nice 3-nights stay at the hotel. I was staying with a half-board. Breakfast has limited options but you are not going to be hungry. And dinners I liked a lot: freshly made and served appetizer (I always had sushi) and decent main course with a complementary glass of wine. The only thing I didn't like about dinners, that the start time at 8pm. A little too late for my liking but I guess it's a Spainish custom. Overall I had a nice stay and enjoyed the proximity to my son's boarding house (walking distance). Thank you stuff, especially at poolside cafe for making my stay enjoyable!

Very good with potential to be excellent
Initial room rather dark and claustrophobic also bed not made up properly. A quick word at reception and we were moved to a lovely bright and spacious suite. Good choice at breakfast but the buffet style meant that hot choices could be cold. Excellent swimming pool. Staff extremely helpful.

Noisy from adjacent roo.
Had room number H11. S11 room built on to ours. There bathroom was the back of our bedroom. Toilet noise all night in our bedroom from next door. We only had a bedroom. Came back home feeling tired. Would not book this place again. Shame nice grounds. Needs updating. High bar and restaurant prices. Hotel empty so why they put us next to the noisiest family in the world is beyond me. Need to rethink the toilet noise from a suite to a room. Told front desk who did nothing. Said sorry. Did not change we left feeling tired. Feel like we wasted money staying here woth so many hotels to choose from. Breakfast was good. Only thing I can say excelled the stay. Nice grounds. Still needs updating. You need a car here. If you get a room get a suite as a superior room is a bedroom only and the noise from an adjacent suite is not acceptable Choose somewhere else if you want a good night's sleep

Swim up bar has gone !
The hotel is a good base for exploring southern Spain. A car is essential. The hotel is in need of some serious investment and general quality maintenance. The 4* rating come from the facilities on offer not the room standards. Double beds are actually twins pushed together. We had to change rooms after the first night due to water bubbling up through the bathroom floor! To sum up expect 2-3 star standards and you won't be too disappointed.

Great staff and facilities but outdated rooms
We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way from Gibraltar to Ronda. It was not particularly busy, so it was very relaxing and quite. The lady who checked us in was fantastic! She offered us two free drinks and also offered to book us in for a free sauna session, which was great (suggestion for the management - install a shower in the sauna..). The breakfast was very nice too - proper coffee, fresh orange juice and a good choice of breakfast products for all tastes. The bar/restaurant area was very stylish and modern and pleasure to be in. The room however lacked a modern touch and maintenance - there were marks on the wall, the patio looked dirty and the bathroom definitely needed an upgrade to earn those 4 stars which the hotel advertises itself at.

5 star venue needs a 5 star renovation
The area is known for its quality especially in the golfing world. This hotel is in a great setting of a 5 star golf club. I had heard that renovations were done, but I don't know what to make of that. The apartment was very dated. The kitchen had a kettle and some tea, but some milk would be a nice touch! I had to retune the TV, but even then it I my had local channels. I must say the whole experience was worsened by constant heavy rain which made it hard to relax and sleep. The pool area looked amazing but the weather out a stop to that! Tangos restaurant was the highlight of my stay with good staff and food. The hotel needs a 5 star renovation!

Very friendly
Upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was a little tired, decor wise, but roomy with separate bath & shower. The resort is in the process of being refurbished but we were not disturbed by any works. The best thing here is the staff. I have coeliac is ease & was provided with gluten-free bread at breakfast & dinner. We ate in the 'Tango' restaurant twice & had excellent food on both occasions with helpful & very friendly service. My husband had 2 rounds of golf (we are friends with members here) and the course was excellent in spite of husband spending a lot of time in the bunkers!

We stayed at the hotel because it was near Gibraltar. There was a problem with Google Maps, which led us to the wrong location. When we got to the hotel it was lovely. The room was beautiful and the hotel staff was helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant. It was very good. There was also an excellent breakfast. The one problem, which was big was that we were staying there in November and the heat was inadequate. The suite was very cold. There was a heater in the living room, but it did not even heat that room, much less the bedroom. So, I would highly recommend saying here in the spring or summer, but not late fall or winter.

We had a very pleasant stay here. Nice check in with friendly staff. Quiet stay, as in no noise from other people, plenty of parking, breakfast was fine. The whole place is a little 'tired' perhaps, but all clean. Possibility to cook yourself, and a brand new fridge. I would definitely come back to stay again.

Ikke anbefalelsesværdigt.
Værelset var meget slidt med løse fliser og føltes ikke ikke særligt rent. Terrassen war decideret ulækker med ukrudt og snavs, møblerne var snavsede og ikke rengjort i lang tid. Sengen var dog udemærket. Vi havde valgt halvpension pga. Stedets isolerede beliggenhed, dette var ikke den store oplevelse. Hele resorten bærer præg af manglende vedligehold.

Schöne Anlage, aber in die Jahre gekommen
Die Suiten sind sehr großzügig angelegt, das Mobiliar ist aber in die Jahre gekommen, ebenso die Wege in der eigentlich sehr schönen Anlage. Der Fernseher ist neu, hatte aber keinen Empfang, das WLAN war vorhanden, aber sehr schwankend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Preis mit 56 Euro pro Nacht mit einem ordentlichen Früstück sehr günstig. Die Halbpesion hatte mit 12,50 Euro inkl. einem Freigetränk ein gutes Preis-Leistungs--Verhältnis,

Dejligt stille
Vi var der i ydersæsonen. Hotellet var et golfresort men vi skulle ikke spille golf. Havde stort set poolen for os selv om eftermiddagen. Området bestod af små dobbelthuse med dejlig beplantning omkring.

Personal muy amable y entorno único.
Decir que el personal del hotel es de 10, empezando por el chico que nos atendió en el turno de noche. Hubo mal entendido de inicio con el lugar y hotels.com ya que la reserva que teníamos confirmada era habitación con cama doble en suite y nos dieron de inicio una sencilla doble con dos camas separadas, sin chimenea y con un baño, cuando la reserva especificaba la cama grande con baño, una ducha a parte y chimenea. Afortunadamente nos lo supieron resolver y finalmente nos dieron la habitación que habíamos reservado entre las dos opciones desde el inicio de la reserva. El desayuno muy bueno y el staff del hotel super amable. El entorno con tanto verde y el mar al lado te hace sentir en un paraíso de la naturaleza. LA buena ubicación hace que puedas estar en Sotogrande a 5 mins, a 20 de Tarifa, 12mins de Gibraltar y 30-40 en el interior para ver pueblos como Castelar. Sin duda volveré a repetir.

Mycket prisvärt !!
Mycket prisvärd hotell med stora rom med fin inredning. Badrummet lite slitet av av vattnet men helt ok i stort Rabbat på golfen för boende och bra frukost!

Bien en general
Hemos estado un fin de semana,...el hotel en si bien. El defecto es una ventana en la bañera estropeada por la humedad. El desayuno Bufet muy bien y el personal muy amable en todo momento.

Was ooit prachtig, maar is nu geen 4* meer waard.
Is ooit een prachtige accommodatie geweest, maar dringend aan een opknapbeurt toe. Is op dit ogenblik volgens ons geen 4* meer waard. Ontbijt was volgens Spaanse normen in orde, maar iedere dag volledig hetzelfde, geen enkele variatie. Het avondeten à la carte was eveneens in orde, maar te weinig keuze. Ook de prijzen voor eten en drankjes waren te hoog voor wat het hotel nu nog voorstelt. Goed voor een kort verblijf, maar niet voor een lange periode.

Hotel dans un envirement superbe au terrein de golfe, néanmoins une voiture est indisponible pour se déplacer sur place.
