"Overall extremely poor. Construction littered the property, loud bangs and tools served as an alarm clock at 6am until the afternoon. Check in took long as the Vrbo listing address takes you very far from where the house actually is and communication proved to be difficult as well. Also lack of direction with garbage leading to a strong odor"

"Do not know where to start. WE PREPAID when we registered, but the owner said we needed to make another full. There were only two plates, no cutting knives, the glasses had sticky goo all over them, the stove did not work, there was no drinking water available. The couch is a very very old futon that looks like it has been picked off the street. The front door knob came off the second time we used it (it was loose and was about to fall off when we arrived). The owner tried to make us pay for the...

"This room had an AMAZING view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. It is a lakefront property with the room on the lower section facing the water. The bedroom and bathroom had amazing views and the hosts were very communicative for check in and check out. We needed to leave our bags at the property for a while while we did a tour and they were also able to help us store and retrieve our luggage when we were ready to leave."

"It is set out as a Luxury apartment but can't really qualify as such. It is nice, but quite noisy as it is right next to a restaurant with live music. Also quite smelly from all the restaurants' grey water just flowing into the lake outside the windows. The bathroom is also very damp with mold on the walls. Everything else was good though, and the hosts were very responsive."

"Beautiful and peaceful place to stay at Lake Atitlán. Amazing lake and volcano views, very clean cabins, and a relaxing atmosphere away from the crowds. The hosts were welcoming and the location was perfect for exploring nearby towns. Would definitely stay again."

"If you do stay in one of the properties this guy owns do NOT give him cash! He is a scammer, asked us to pay him cash because according to him he had not received payment from Vrbo/HomeAway and our pending charge on our credit card would be removed. He charms you with good customer service and seems trust worthy but DO NOT GIVE HIM CASH! We've been trying to get a refund for almost a year now and Vrbo hasn't done anything about it either! Will be reporting them to the BBB as well because they...

"If you are planning a trip to Lake Atlan, this is the spot! It is a two minute walk to the Hot Springs The apartment is impeccable very clean very modern with an amazing view. If you’re looking to relax that tub in the master bedroom is divine. Julio and Alfonso were extremely warm and welcoming. They have a grill that you can use a pool that depending on other properties being rented you have it all to yourself. Don’t look any further. This is the place to stay at. And Jacuzzi to come with...

"The place was great. The only negative was trying to arrive. The given address confused the Uber drivers every time and put us on the street above the actual location. The stove was not functioning. The owner should check before guest arrive "

"We absolutely loved this hotel right in the middle of Santa Catarina Palopó. Away from the busyness of Panajachel but a close drive into town if you need to access things or take the lanchas to the other villages. We took tuk tuks to get around and there was also parking at the hotel. The town itself was super charming and it was also easy to get a private lancha from near the hotel. All the staff was super kind and attentive and the entire hotel was well maintained and spotless. Beautiful views, we absolutely would come back here! Check out the town, there’s an incredible candle shop, coffee shop and beautiful textiles to purchase and support the local artisans right outside the hotel."
"This hotel was exactly what I needed. It was close to town but far enough away where it felt secluded and peaceful. The view of the lake and the breakfast were spectacular. It is a bit tricky to get to if you’re not familiar with the area, you can show the driver of the Lancha the name of the hotel and they will drop you off right at the dock. Otherwise you’ll have to walk 10 minutes from the town dock. The shower doesn’t get super hot, it gets warm. Overall I’d recommend this place and would stay there again, all the people there were super friendly and helpful as well."
"Sweet people and wonderful views made the stay worth it! Enjoyed the fridge and chilled water. Off the beaten trail (so quiet) but near really good food and pretty much everything within a 10 minute walk. The room we stayed in was a bit strangely laid out but very clean and had a strong fan over the bed - nice detail. Plants are beautiful but a bit on the over grown side. Pool could have used some attention and there were no full size hammocks but the chairs were great to watch the lake and nature all around. Thankful for them."
"Beautiful resort! My main issue was that there were at least 2 power outages a day and they didn’t seem to have a generator. They would last from minutes to sometimes hours. I stayed 3 nights and there wasn’t one day without one and for one we had no power for almost the entire day."
