The hotel was run by the most gracious and personable owner. He made us feel right at home! The hotel (newer rooms) are quaint, clean and located within walking distance to everything. The deck is a great space to sit and relax or watch the sun go down. The hotel is right across the street from Caliente restaurant, which has nightly live music that you can hear right from the pool. It was a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

Mattresses felt like they were from 1970’s bunk beds-every spring and seam hurt. Who knew that spring mattresses still exist? Shower still had an opened/empty shampoo container on the floor and a tarantula-sized hairball in the shower drain when we arrived, so raised the question regarding cleanliness. No safe in Room. 2 plug ins in room, tv/router/fridge plugged into extension cord and hanging off cords. Very centrally located and not a bad place to sleep for the one night we stayed, but any longer would be a hard no. The restaurant staff and Mike were amazing.

The property owner is mike and he runs the property with his lovely wife and daughter. You can tell they care about their property and guests as i was making too much noise at the pool one night and he kindly provided better options for us to be loud on the property without disturbing the other guests. Thanks Mike.

Very centrally located. Just off the main roads enough that you do not hear the constant rumbling of golf carts. Lagoon side of ocean is right across street.

All in all a great stay here. Convenient location, beautiful pool and courtyard, simple clean rooms with AC and a small fridge, at a good price. Will be staying here again next time I'm in San Pedro. Only con was internet was a little slow and patchy

Small friendly place. Really good restaurant on site. Owners were friendly and helpful. Place was clean and right on the lagoon Nice sunset views. We caught fish and they they cooked it for us. Really good@

Loved our group stay here at Ambergris Sunset! Owner was friendly, kind, understanding, and helpful. Location was super convenient and easy. Some minor problems such as a toilet leak/flood, but overall am satisfied with our stay
