"The accommodations were both clean and spacious. However, the exceptional service provided by the reception and administrative staff truly stood out. I have a medical condition that necessitates traveling with refrigerated medication, and I inadvertently overlooked the absence of a shared kitchen facility. Upon discussing this with the administrator, I was informed that only the deluxe suites, which are a higher price point, included a refrigerator. Nevertheless, the staff demonstrated...

"La Terraza is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it. It’s centrally located in the mountains of Costa Rica and there are many day trips only an hour away that can be made. The property itself is very beautiful and relaxing and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next trip there."

"Arenal Observatory Lodge is a very special place; it is the only accommodation in Arenal that is actually situated in the volcano reserve and feels quietly tucked-away in the magical rainforest.. away from the touristic hum of La Fortuna town center.. which btw was still very easy to access with our rental car in 25-30 min. The lodge is a nature reserve itself that is beautifully maintained with miles & miles of serene hiking trails; Highly-recommend the free experiences included with your stay; the morning nature walk, the tractor ride to Danta Waterfall (tip: walk the trail back to your room vs. tractor ride back) and natural history talk given by their knowledgeable naturalists in their small, but info-packed museum on-site. We also paid for the night walk which is a MUST DO to see the many reptiles and amphibians who hide during the daytime. It was rainy season during our stay, so Arenal Volcano was barely visible... most days seeing only the base of the volcano, so our mountain-facing Smithsonian Room was not fully maximized (risk one takes during rainy season). But, the clouds parted in passing moments at other times during our stay and Arenal magically revealed its full glory as we climbed-up the 100-foot Observation Tower! The included breakfast at the restaurant is excellent and lunch/dinner is solid too. For peaceful, scenic rainforest immersion with access to Fortuna (with a rental car), this lodge is definitely a great choice."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely spectacular!
Baldi Hot Springs in La Fortuna far exceeded our expectations. The thermal pools and waterfalls are beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Relaxing in the hot water while it rained, surrounded by tropical nature, with an incredible view of Arenal Volcano when the clouds cleared, was unforgettable.
We stayed at the Baldi hotel as well. The rooms were cozy, and I highly recommend staying onsite for the full hot springs and waterfall experience.
La Fortuna, Costa Rica is an amazing destination with beautiful nature, wildlife tours to see sloths and monkeys, great restaurants, boutiques, shopping and excellent amenities.
One of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. We would absolutely stay at Baldi again! 🌋🌿"
The Royal Corin Thermal Water Spa & Resort - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Corin! The hotel itself had nice interior and was always clean, with lovely surroundings. The food was great and we really enjoyed the heated pool too. The staff really make the hotel, everyone is so friendly and always willing to help. We’d highly recommend this hotel!"
"The food was excellent. The staff were very helpful.
In our first night, we were brought to old rooms with unpleasant smell and upstairs were creating noise. I went the following day and talked to the manager. Jason was very understanding and moved us to the room that was advertised. It was very nice and my daughter and I were able to sleep unlike the first old room. I found out that it’s actually Expedia who sometimes tricks you, so be careful when booking.
The manager guy and supervisor lady in the restaurant were exceptional. She gave me and my daughter some breakfast even after 10am, end of free breakfast.
I will come back for sure to this place!"
"The overall set up of the building was very cool. Loved how the rooms were set apart from the main area, in our case, through an outdoor walkway. And what a great common area inside and outside on the deck! The deck overlooked the countryside. The breakfast options provided were wonderful and we felt well taken care of. The decor of the building and rooms was truly unique, loved the white stucco, open beams and coloured glass bead designs! Very comfortable, clean and accommodating stay."
