The Space: Villa Vereda is a unique 1 bedroom villa with beach and ocean views in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The villa is ideal for couples! It features top-quality furnishing, a large and luxurious kitchen, and wonderful community amenities such as beach access, a large swimming pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Guests love the excellent location which is less than 10 minutes from the El Yunque Rainforest, 5-10 minutes from a wide array of beaches and has excellent dining options nearby. Villa Vereda includes 2 parking spots. We strongly recommend having your own vehicle as there is a multitude of activities within a 30-minute drive that you will not want to miss out on. Uber and Taxis are hard to arrange in this area. FRONT GATE SECURITY AND CHECK-IN PROCESS OUR PROPERTY IS SECURED WITH A FRONT ENTRANCE GUARD ON A SCHEDULED SHIFT FROM SUNDAY TO FRIDAY. THE SECURITY SHIFTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 6 AM TO 1 PM, 2 PM TO 8 PM, AND 10 PM TO 4 AM. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SECURITY GUARD AT THE FRONT ENTRANCE BETWEEN 1 PM AND 2 PM, 8 PM TO 10 PM, AND 4 AM TO 6 AM. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The bedroom enjoys a beautiful view of the beach, ocean, and community grounds. It has a queen bed, a large closet, and a dedicated full bathroom. KITCHEN Villa Vereda has a spacious and luxurious kitchen with granite countertops. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, and toaster. GETTING AROUND & PARKING Villa Vereda includes two (2) assigned parking spots. Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area. Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande. There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate. LOCATION There are many things to do in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Here are our top picks that you will be sure to enjoy during your stay: Explore the lush and exotic El Yunque, the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help you plan a hike or participate in a zip-line adventure. Experience the glowing waters on a nightly kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo. Taste the local flavors at the staple kiosks in nearby Luquillo – right next to the beach. Go on horseback or four-track ride off the beaten path in Carabali Rainforest Park. Play a round of golf at the Wyndham Rio Mar Golf Course or any of the neighboring nearby courses like Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club in Rio Grande or El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo. Other Things to Note: STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Also in the period we were there there were very few people in the whole complex, so it was very quiet. The apartment is fine, however there are a couple of things that could/should be improved: 1) there were no screens on the windows, and therefore lots of mosquitos came in 2) the mattress had still the plastic on it, which made it uncomfortable 3) the ventilation of the apartment is not great - the fan only works in the 1/2 bath, but not in the full bath ##### Giuseppe G. It's about 10 minutes to Luquillo and 15 minutes to Fajardo. The unit itself is great. Very clean, easy to access. You get a limited ocean view on a quiet, remote beach. The kitchen is stocked with the basics to get you started. A few notes - please know that NONE of these are actual complaints and in no way affected our stay. We'd not hesitate to return. -The hot and cold water taps are switched (hot water on the left) on the shower. Realized that after taking a cold shower and thinking the water heater must be out! -There was no kitchen trash can. No worries here, we just had a trash bag sitting out, but might be an issue for some. -The outdoor lighting on the complex is BRIGHT. It was pretty light in the bedroom and we kept waking up thinking the sun was rising. Some darker blinds would help. Overall we loved our stay and our property manager was fantastic - super easy to get in touch with and very responsive. ##### Rebecca B. Clean, quiet, and secure. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to access food and shopping. No complaints about the unit or host. It’s always nice having a full kitchen. Liked having 2 bathrooms and the balcony. Has beach chairs, a cooler and umbrella and the beach is just a few feet away. Liked that the tv was a smart tv so we could unwind with Netflix at night. We had an issue with the door lock not letting us in but we’re immediately able to contact someone and they got us in. The parking spaces for the unit are nice to have though further away from the unit than makes sense. When we arrived the security at the gate didn’t have our info. After about 20-30 minutes the nice man at the gate helped us get in. The remote that is supposed to open the gate doesn’t work. No hot water in the shower. Sliding glass door for the balcony doesn’t lock. The “ocean view” is definitely misleading and you CANNOT swim at this beach safely. Seaweed was present but that can be expected. The best part of this place was the quiet location and having plenty of space for my husband and I in the unit. The pool was nice and big. The beach is a three-minute walk away. El Yunque rain forest is also close. Two golf resorts nearby (Wyndham Grand and Coco Beach/Grand Reserve). Check-in process was very easy with a lockbox so no waiting for anyone. Property manager was readily available by phone on multiple occasions for any questions I had.
