The suite has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, open layout living area right beside the modern kitchen and dining table. You will love the combination of old-world colonial structural design and amenities such as air conditioning throughout the villa, wifi, TV, and modern yet simple decor. The location is ideal for those looking to be close to the action in Old San Juan, next to restaurants, a plaza and all that you need to see in this beautiful historic city. The suite comfortably sleeps 2 adults in the bedroom's king-size bed. The unit is on the 4th floor and the building has an elevator and stairs. PLEASE NOTE: SOME TILES MIGHT HAVE MARKS ON THEM. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Mint Suite has one bedroom that comfortably sleeps 2 adults. The spacious bedroom has a king-size bed, personal side tables, air conditioning, access to a full bathroom and a spacious closet. Best of all features a private balcony! The bedroom has a simple & modern decor with mint and nude tones throughout the suite. It is appointed with fresh linens for a good night's sleep. PLEASE NOTE: The bedroom TV features a SMART TV, just for the use of apps like (youtube, Netflix, etc) PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. KITCHEN Mint Suite has a decent size kitchen, which was just updated with new cabinets and countertops. The kitchen has a coffee maker, stovetop, microwave, and fridge. We include enough paper towels, trash bags, and dish soap for guests to comfortably start their stay. GETTING AROUND If staying within the general San Juan/Metro area, we recommend moving around via Uber. \*\*This property does not include parking.\*\* IMPORTANT: If you need to rent a car, there are various paid parking garages around Old San Juan - pricing varies as some charge by the hour and others have a flat rate. LOCATION Staying in Old San Juan is a truly unique experience filled with charm and character. From the property, you can comfortably walk anywhere within Old San Juan. The apartment is located on one of the quieter streets but still steps away from all the action. We recommend taking a cab from the airport and using Uber or taxi while you stay at Old San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you are planning on road tripping. This is a truly walkable location with everything you need a short walk away. The apartment does not include parking. Nonetheless, there are convenient parking lots close to the apartment. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance: Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must-do. Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Breakfast at “La Bombonera”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries. Savor Stuffed Avocado. Healthy and "trendy" spot where you can create your own avocado bowl. Take a stroll around “Paseo La Princesa”, a waterfront walkway which you can start off at El Morro and finish of the walk with a rum tasting at Princesa Gastrobar at the end of the trail. Other Things to Note: STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: \- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) \- 3 garbage bags \- 1 roll of paper towels \- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) \- 1 dish soap \- 1 dish sponge Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund. The place was clean, the air conditioning worked wonderfully, and you were immersed in the town feel throughout the day.The host recommends you places to park if you rent a car and that was extremely helpful. The location was perfect for walking to most destinations in OSJ, with several restaurants in close proximity and only a short Lyft ride to the Convention Hall and airport. Its location is ideal—right across from an old church and within walking distance to everything. We explored the cobblestone streets, enjoyed the vibrant local cuisine, and took in the rich cultural history of the area, all without needing a car.One of the highlights was the balcony: a peaceful, elevated spot to enjoy morning coffee or breakfast with sweeping views of the city’s iconic skyline. It felt like a private escape above the lively charm of San Juan.While Old San Juan is known for its bustling nightlife, the Mint Suite offers a quiet, restful retreat. Love the reviews others leave as it helps me determine if it's right for us. This one had none, but still decided to take a chance because of the beautiful pictures on the website. The good, the place was super clean, spacious, comfortable, had all the utensili we needed, comfortable bed,, and felt safe while staying at the location, although the room had a funny smell we could not get past. The bad, homeless people outside the door with their shopping carts, (not their fault, but should be listed) ants were all over the bathroom floor, the blind at the balcony door was torn and the elavator was the s l o w e s t elevator I've ever seen.. In addition, kitchen bags full of trash leaning up against the wall, but the worst was the smell of skunk weed throughout the building. It got so bad, we ended up leaving 2 days earlier than planned.
