The Space: When you stay at our Enchanted Suite you can wander the colorful streets of Old San Juan to experience the finest museums and attractions including breathtaking cathedrals and world-renowned historic forts of Puerto Rico. The Enchanted Suite has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a simple but recently renovated kitchen. The unit is on the 3rd floor and the building has an elevator and stairs. The apartment has high ceilings with mahogany beams and traditional Spanish Windows that open to a balcony partially overlooking the Historic City. It has a combination of old-world colonial structural and Spanish architectural design. Modern amenities such as air conditioning, an updated kitchen, wifi, and TV. The location is ideal for those looking to be close to the action in Old San Juan, next to restaurants, shops, nightlife and all that you need to see in this beautiful historic city. The suite comfortably sleeps 2 adults in the bedroom's king-size bed. PLEASE NOTE: SOME TILES MIGHT HAVE MARKS ON THEM. THIS IS AN OLD BUILDING AND THUS, SOME OF THE ORIGINAL TILES MIGHT HAVE SOME BLEMISHES AND/OR IMPERFECTIONS ON THEM. IMPORTANT: THIS APARTMENT OVERLOOKS THE STREET - GUESTS WILL HEAR STREET NOISE AT NIGHT FROM FRIDAY TO SATURDAY AND THAT IS PART OF THE CHARM! UTILITY INTERRUPTIONS Enchanted Suite does not have a backup generator or water cistern, and unfortunately, power and water outages can happen in Puerto Rico. If water or power is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests will have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. LIVING AREAS As soon as you enter the Enchanted Suite you are exposed to rich mahogany beams, checkered floors to modern comforts. The layout encompasses a living room with a Spanish Wood dining table beside the kitchen. There is a lot of natural light throughout the apartment. The suite features a dining area right beside the kitchen, which makes it very convenient and practical. The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, microwave, fridge, and stocked with everything you would need for an extended stay. The living room has a sofa and a flat-screen TV. There is central air conditioning throughout the apartment. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Enchanted Suite has one bedroom that comfortably sleeps 2 adults. The spacious bedroom has a king bed, air conditioning, and access to a full bathroom. The bedroom is appointed with fresh linens for a good night's sleep. It also has a full closet and full-size drawer. The suite has its own balcony. PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. KITCHEN Enchanted Suite kitchen is a perfect size. Simple but renovated with new cabinets and countertops. The kitchen has a coffee maker, stovetop, microwave, and fridge. We include enough paper towels, trash bags, and dish soap for guests to comfortably start their stay. GETTING AROUND If staying within the general San Juan/Metro area, we recommend moving around via Uber. \*\*This property does not include parking.\*\* IMPORTANT: If you need to rent a car, there are various paid parking garages around Old San Juan - pricing varies as some charge by the hour and others have a flat rate. LOCATION Staying in Old San Juan is a truly unique experience filled with charm and character. From the property, you can comfortably walk anywhere within Old San Juan. The apartment is located on one of the quieter streets but still steps away from all the action. We recommend taking a cab from the airport and using Uber or taxi while you stay at Old San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you are planning on road tripping. This is a truly walkable location with everything you need a short walk away. The apartment does not include parking. Nonetheless, there are convenient parking lots close to the apartment. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance: Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must-do. Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Breakfast at “La Bombonera”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries. Savor Stuffed Avocado. Healthy and "trendy" spot where you can create your own avocado bowl. Safe and secure building and room. Located in a great location, all areas of Old San Juan within walking range. Having the elevator was very nice, especially after a long day of walking and imbibing. Coolers, and ice packs, were very handy for beach day. Cons: no area in the shower to actually place things...just a very narrow wooden window ledge that will surely rot with all the water exposure. The secondary entrance, the rod iron gate, is in desperate need of WD-40\. It smelled like feet, the cleaning crew is underrated and sloppy, (I left it cleaner than what was delivered to us), if you are going to have a balcony, at least mop the floor, so many fixes that are not fixed, the bed, HA!, horrible, and the table is bigger than the entire island of Puerto Rico. You kept our money, but it is the last time it will ever happen. Even if the room was free and Ricky Martin and Marc Anthony were included in the room, the answer is NO! As yourselves, would you stay there? At least we can say that we stayed in El Viejo San Juan and cross it off our bucket list but never, ever, ever, ever again. Great location! Cute and clean place to stay. Comfortable bed, clean sheets. Kitchen had everything we needed for a two night stay. Room was nice and cool w air-conditioning. Walking distance from parking garage, fort and tons of fun bars. Beautiful place to stay. No complaints. Manager Joselyn was very attentive and helpful when we reached out. Wonderful location for stepping out and exploring the beautiful historic city. The noise level is rather loud and around the clock. Overall the amenities are what you would expect for the price range. The bed was comfortable and the space was cozy.
