![Apoyo Lagoon rests in the crater of an extinct volcano.  At the lookout point there are many shops/vendors and places to eat and a restroom (for a price).  It's very windy and much cooler up there so bring layers! "The staff is so friendly and accommodating! We booked the airport shuttle through the hotel and were worried we were going to miss it because our flight got delayed 5 hours. Turns out they track your flight and wait for you, even in the middle of the night! Typically costs $50USD or $55USD if odd hours (we ended up getting in around 3am). The driver was so friendly and even gave us a little history on the town as we were driving in. Once we arrived staff who checked us in was also super friendly! The AC works great, but keep in mind there’s no hot water in the bathrooms. The property is GORGEOUS and the pool is stunning with an open view of the sky and the church across the street. The hotel is also in a central location for walking to shops and a little flea market our driver told us about. The downstairs cafe drinks and food were also good. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay here longer! "
