If you are Dominican The ugly: —Many of the staff do not seem mindful of hospitality basics. Particularly I notice that many of the female staff are very short with women. — The toilet seat in the room does not fully cover the seat of the toilet. We had two rooms and both were like this. Because the toilet seat was too small for the toilet, you are sitting on the cold bare toilet when you use the bathroom. There may as well have been no toilet seat. (1,000 reviews) The check-in process was a bit tedious, but that was due to Expedia, not the hotel. To keep a positive experience, the hotel staff was very kind and upgraded us to a beautiful room. We were a family of four, including a 7-year-old child, and each of us had our own bed and private bathroom, which was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk staff to the waiters, and especially the bar staff. The entertainment was excellent; the girl who organized the karaoke had great charisma and energy. The weather was on our side, with sunny days throughout our stay. The food at the Blue Lagoon restaurant was delicious . we absolutely loved it. The entire resort staff is humble, respectful, and very kind. Recommendations: • I didn’t really like the “guagua” shuttle; I think a large golf cart would look better and feel more comfortable. • At the bars, drinks were often served in plastic cups, which takes away from the presentation. However, at the beach they used nicer cups, and we were able to take great photos there.
