The house was clean, and it was a wonderful experience. Rose and her son Rodale were so kind and helpful. Rod showed us around the family land and the farm, and we drank fresh coconut water. It was quiet and relaxing. We were shown around Rod’s farm which was very interesting. The kitchen makes lovely home made food, including breakfast, which we ate every day. Tours can easily be booked from there and they will pick you up. It’s a short taxi ride from town. The staff is very warm and caring and we’re available if we needed anything. All of the food they served was delicious and we loved having a small kitchen to prepare meals when we wanted. The area is beautiful and safe. You probably want a rental car unless you like taking taxis. The staff was incredibly accommodating, especially when I mentioned that the initial bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked. They promptly exchanged it for us, and the new bed made a significant difference in our comfort. Aside from that, the atmosphere was lovely, and we enjoyed our stay. A simplicidade, a decoração e o trato direto com o proprietário transmitem uma sensação de se hospedar na casa de um membro da família, não em um hotel, inclusive porque não há serviço de arrumação de quarto e o café da manhã não estava disponível. A propriedade fica a cerca de 10 minutos do centro de San Ignacio, mas não dá para ir caminhando e não é fácil encontrar táxis na cidade. O administrador, Ron, foi muito solícito e nos levou em seu próprio carro ao restaurante, e na volta nos auxiliou a encontrar um ATM e mercado para uma pequena compra, mesmo sendo domingo. De forma geral, o local é bastante quente, então não conseguimos aproveitar a varanda ou a área externa; no interior do quarto, o ar condicionado foi bastante eficaz para manter o conforto térmico. O quarto estava bem limpo, é espaçoso e conta com uma pequena cozinha muito bem equipada. Apesar da mata ao redor, não havia insetos no interior do quarto, pois todas as janelas são teladas.
