Clean, comfortable, spacious, and great location
It’s a nice property with comfortable beds and plenty of space to move around. It’s set up to either rent entirely or in part with a communal kitchen/gathering area. We were pleasantly surprised to have the whole home to ourselves. The two 5-gallon jugs of water were a nice touch and cold water waiting in the fridge. Nicely equipped. Cool blowing AC. Hammocks on the upstairs deck overlooking the park.
The location can’t get much better. It’s on the main road, which isn’t to say it’s loud and busy. There’s not much commotion in San Ignacio. It’s walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We took the owner’s recommendation to book transport tours with MayaWalk, which was right down the street, and it made it so easy to get around and explore.
The landscaping was well kept and colorful. The interior was in fairly good condition. It seemed recently renovated though there are just a few some signs of wear.
Not many points of concern. There are several access points into the home. It was a bit of a safety concern for us. We triple checked that every door and gate was locked before going to bed. The check out list also included taking the trash out and washing the dishes. I don’t think that should be a guest’s responsibility but in our case we hardly had any of either so it wasn’t a big inconvenience.
We would definitely stay here again!
