The staff is incredibly friendly, the view of the river is incredible and the accommodations are lovely. If you don’t mind a short drive into San Ignacio, the tranquility of this place is ideal. It’s off the beaten path and yet still close enough that all four of our tours picked us up at the hotel. It took about 20 minutes for the water to heat up. The television only had one channel and the hotel attendant never came to see why the remote did not work. Also, it would be nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room because there are no near by restaurants and the taxi's are expensive with inconsistant pricing. The hotel restaurant may be closed when you're hungry. The hotel grounds being on the river is beautiful and the hotel also has a pool which is nice.
