This apartment has just been fully renovated and is a great place for families, remote workers, and anyone looking to enjoy sunny San Diego. Special features are recessed dimmable lighting, deep soaking tubs, rainfall showerheads, bidets, and lit bathroom mirrors to make those selfies pop. This is a great space for dogs, families, and remote working professionals. The property is the same one as my other listing, Sunset Suite. There are two buildings on the property each with two apartments, an upstairs unit and a downstairs unit. This apartment is the downstairs unit in the back building. Each bedroom has a queen bed and attached bath. There is a foldable queen size mattress that can be placed in either bedroom or living room for an additional bed. Each bathroom has a rainfall showerhead, deep soaking tub, bidet, and lit and heated bathroom mirrors. The back patio has views of Robb Field Park, Mission Bay, and Sea World Fireworks. There are three 55" UHD TVs, each on a swivel mount to be viewed from anywhere in the room. There is one motorized sit/stand desk in the back bedroom. Ocean Beach is an authentic beach town placed between Downtown and Mission Bay. Buildings in the area range from new luxurious beach houses to older humble beach cottages. My favorite way to explore Ocean Beach is on foot. Among the sights you will see walking around are the amazing beach 2 ½ blocks away. At one end of the beach is the pier and Newport Ave, a street lined with antiques shops, beachwear and surf boutiques, organic groceries, taquerias and brewpubs. At the other end of the beach is dog beach. This is also where The San Diego River Trail begins and gives spectacular views of Mission Bay and access to quite a lot of San Diego without a car. Robb Fields Park lies between the trail and the property. The noises you will hear standing outside range from silence to Robb Field Park’s cheering and games, Sea World's seasonal nightly fireworks, planes flying overhead from San Diego International Airport, local musicians playing next door, and the slow beach traffic on West Point Loma Boulevard. Go inside and close the doors and windows and that all goes away. With that amazing ocean breeze it will be difficult keeping the windows shut. The smells are endless ocean breeze, a neighbor’s bbq, and occasionally OB Noodle House across the street. Once, I swear I smelled Phil's BBQ from the property but maybe it was just too long since I was there last. General drive times: SeaWorld 5 - 12 min. Airport (SAN) 7 - 15 min. Downtown 10 - 20 min. Zoo 10 - 20 min. The apartment was very clean and has recently been remodeled. Everything was in excellent condition. The beds were comfortable and having a nice TV in each room was awesome. The rooms were very spacious, and the living area had plenty of room to watch tv and eat. The kitchen has nice, new appliances, but it is very small. It was great for us as we were just eating breakfast and brought some food back a few nights. But, I wouldn't want to make a big meal there. As stated in other reviews, the parking is tight. There are three spots, and we were lucky that it was only our car and one other that parked there each night. So, we made it work pretty easily. Basically, there just isn't much room to back out, so you have to back out a little, turn, pull forward, back out, etc. Bryan was a fantastic host - I had a few questions pop up and I messaged him and he got right back to me. Instructions to enter the apartment were clear and easy. The location is amazing! It is a very short walk (just a few minutes) to a path that takes you to the ocean. Basically a 10 minute walk to Dog Beach and about 15 minutes to Ocean Beach. I felt completely safe walking each day to the beach and around the area. We weren't out past 8:00 pm. There are a ton of restaurants in the area to walk to. And, driving, it seemed that things were only about 15 minutes away. It had easy access to the highway.
