Staff are great and friendly. Very clean hostel. Quiet people, an older crowd. Area around the hostel has some transient people but they keep to themselves.

I can’t say enough good things about this hostel. I stayed for two nites and everything exceeded my expectations. Carlos the person at the front desk was personable friendly helpful and always had a smile. I will definitely return again for a longer stay

Tons of amenities. Fantastic staff. Weekday housekeeper is amazing! Very nice setup. Great, cheap laundry machines, hair and makeup room, hot and cold filtered water, nice food storage, lots of room in the refrigerator, FREEZER!, nice lockers, and on and on…

Clean and comfortable spot
Check in and check out was very easy. First time trying a hostel since I was only staying less than a day in town. I liked that they had curtains you can close for privacy and rest. People there seemed friendly enough. It was clean and comfortable with large shared spaces. A little bit outside the gaslamp area but was safe. Would try again for short stays.

The place is great, clean, well run and well maintained. The staff were very thorough in helping guests settle in and someone was always available to answers questions or be of assistance. The common areas were comfortable, with the upstairs being the quieter area and downstairs more social. I kept to myself, but enjoyed hearing others connecting socially around the tv, pool table or in kitchen. The kitchen is small, but well organized, with plenty of bins for individual food storage. There is plenty of refrigerator space, a few different options for cooking. I think adding some smaller cooking pots and larger bowls would be helpful. It was excellent to be able cook my own meals and have a relaxed setting to eat. Thanks for creating such an affordable and pleasant home away from home.

ALOHA this HOSTEL tries to present itself as a HOTEL but falls terribly☠️ Reminds me of Hoboken Hell from the Military Barracks berthing to the AUTO PARKING meters outside ( vacumes). Showers / sinks need HELP / Female guests are empowered to dominate MEN with food prep territory issues ( BEWARE) 🇺🇸

It is a Hostel so be prepared, they give you a towel and have soap in the Swower,, its clean and nice place. They were realy helpful with the storage for my extra boxes that I had with me. overall a 10

The room was clean and kitchen had everything I needed while staying there. This was my first time staying in a hostel and I don't think I will ever stay in a hotel again. This was so much better. I got so much more space for my money.

Muito bem equipado, mas localização ruim.
Muito bem equipado, mas localização ruim. Ruas muito desertas e com muitos moradores de ruas drogados por perto. O hostel tem horario de check-in muito tarde, e eles mesmo com camas disponiveis nao liberam antes, e nem fazem questao de te acomodar um pouco antes mesmo você estando morto de cansado. Não vejo problema em abrir exceçao quando se tem vaga e infelizmente o cliente precisa chegar antes por causa dos horarios dos voos.

Thank you Pollyanne for the honest review. Unfortunately we do not have control of our outdoor surroundings, homeless has become an issue for the city of San Diego. Check-in is at 4pm and is stated in our policies. If room were available we would have offered you an earlier check-in. We do allow guest to arrive earlier and hang out in our common area. Fun trip
We enjoyed our trip. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the gas lamp district. The location is very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back.
