Check in was easy enough, but they only want to provide one key, which is difficult when there's more than one adult and don't want to be connected at the hip. You can't even take the elevator or use the fitness center without a key. It took a lot of negotiating to finally get a second key. There was black, curly hair on the floor and even some in a cabinet and matted in an overfull dryer filter. So gross. A layer of dust on all the window sills---lots of windows! Couch had stains. I stopped complaining during our stay because it was too stressful. Plus, since they said we could just check out and get a refund for remaining days, I was a bit afraid to keep pushing buttons. Host didn't seem happy with our complaints. Plus it was Christmas so it would've been difficult to find a new place. A little picky thing--this is not truly Penthouse because it's not the absolute top floor, although it's maybe five floors from the top. If they would have been more cooperative (becamse moreso when VRBO got involved) and the place would've actually been clean, this would have gotten a much better rating. ##### Lynn B.
