"Great place, kind hosts and a gorgeous setting! It’s a really beautiful place, and the owners takes great care of it and you as a guest! The location is perfect, it’s a nice little stroll to get to Sami and it’s no longer than 40min to drive anywhere on the island. There are also a lot of things to see and experience in the local area, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful Melissani cave. "

"The room was cleaned every day, in fact the hold complex was spotless. Both Stelios and Anastasia were very approachable and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The area was really quiet allowing us to relax with no worries. Only 500 metres to Melissani lake/cave also a bonus. Coastal path into Sami took around 25-30 mins at a leisurely pace. There were 3 restaurants nearby in Karavomylos but plenty in Sami. There is a mini-market on the square for essentials but best go into...

"It was a spectacular stay! Relaxing, beauty around every corner, excellent service, and a place we would definitely return to. It is family run and so charming. Loved the pools and the oceanfront setting - so nice to jump into the ocean! Rooms were comfortable and cool. We didn’t use the tennis courts, but did use the gym. Also had access to bikes. Walking distance to Fiskardo which is nice to walk around. Many great tavernas and restaurants in nearby towns we enjoyed - Alia’s, Veggera, Keffa-Ionia.."

"Villa Kalliroi has truly become our home away from home, and our fourth stay made us love it even more. Every time we arrive, it feels like coming back to a place that holds a very special place in our hearts. There is such a beautiful sense of peace and privacy here that it is impossible not to relax the moment you step inside.The pool is like a little oasis, especially on hot days, and the garden, with its lovely flowers and soothing birdsong, creates such a calming atmosphere. It is the kind of place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to fully unwind and enjoy every moment.The villa is beautifully furnished and always spotless, and we are so grateful to Penny for her warmth, kindness, and care. Her lovely welcome always makes our stay feel even more personal and special. The location is also perfect for exploring Kefalonia, with gorgeous beaches, charming villages, and wonderful places to eat nearby.We are also deeply thankful to Dionysia for creating such a wonderful haven. Villa Kalliroi is more than just a place to stay, it is a place where memories are made, and we feel incredibly lucky to return. We recommend it from the heart and cannot wait for our next visit."

"We liked the location just a 5 minute walk along a waterfront promenade to center. The hotel was beautiful with balconies overlooking the sea. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The staff was exceptional, including helping us take our luggage to our room as there are a bit of steps (we like hiking so it was no problem for us, and there was an elevator). Secure parking. Very good breakfast. The town of Agia Effima was adorable with wonderful restaurants"

"Afroditi was an amazing host, we had such a wonderful time staying with her in Agia Effimia. We were welcomed, shown around our room and given detailed recommendations of things to do on the island. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean and had a fantastic view of the marina. Her son, Gregory also has a fantastic cafe on the front with a discount for guests staying at the Ionian suites - the food was great. We had a lovely time, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality Afroditi!"

" This is a beautiful property in a lovely little town. It was nice to be away from the bigger city and Panos made us feel special and right at home. He upgraded us to the nicest suite and is a wonderful host. The breakfast was made fresh and delivered to us each morning, it was delicious and full of Greek specialities. This is a true gem of a place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Kefalonia."
