It is ocated in a small house in a quiet neighborhood, yet just 15 minutes walking distance to Salzburg’s historic city center. The Space: The 3-room apartment (75 m² + balcony) offers plenty of space for up to 4 adults and a baby. High-speed internet is available throughout. Living room: Comfortable sitting sofas, a table, and a carpet Smart TV with Netflix and Disney+ Hammock for relaxing Bedroom 1: Queen-size double bed Wardrobe and chest of drawers Satellite TV baby bed Second bedroom / study: Sofa bed opening into a comfortable queen-size double bed Wardrobe, armchair, desk with chair and bookcase with plenty of books Direct access to the balcony Hallway: Large bookcases with books and games safe deposit box for valuables Kitchen & dining area: Refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove, oven, microwave Toaster, filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine, juicer, Plenty of dishes and utensils Large dining table with 5 chairs Bathroom & amenities: Shower, WC, and hairdryer Washing machine and tumble dryer (downstairs) Iron and ironing board in the closet Bed linen and towels included Other details: Non-smoking apartment (smoking allowed on the balcony only) Location: Most of Salzburg’s attractions are within easy walking distance – including the fortress, museums and the Festspielhaus (Salzburg Festival concerts & operas), There are several restaurants in a walking distance between 5 and 10 minutes, bus stops to the centre, train station and airport 5 walking minutes away. For stays of 3 days or longer, I recommend purchasing the Salzburg Card (great value for money): it includes free admission to all major museums and sights, the Untersberg cable car, and unlimited use of city buses. In winter, a ski bus runs from Salzburg to the nearby ski resorts. Guest Access: On the ground floor, the second door on the right leads to the shared laundry room for all three apartments, equipped with a washing machine and dryer. Detergent availabe. At the back of the house, in the small garden, you will find an open bicycle shed for rented bikes and a clothes line. Free private parking spaces for all apartments are available in the courtyard and just behind the small chapel. The Neighborhood: Located in a nice quiet residential area , just a short walk from restaurants, shops and bus stations.. You walk about 15 minutes to the historical center and 20 minutes to the Festspielhaus (concert hall). You will find a list of restaurants and coffee shops with their addresses, phone number and opening times in the folder on the kitchen table. Also of the nearby supermarkets. You will find a map on the table where the bus stations, way to the center and nearby supermarkets are marked. Getting Around: The property is a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Bus number 1 takes you to the center and to the train station . . Bus number 2, 5-6 minutes away, from and to the airport. Coming from the airport with bus number 2 get off at Hans Schmidt Platz, walk back until Glansteg, turn left, cross the little bridge, first street right is Ganshofstrasse. Coming from the train station take bus number 1 direction center, get off at the stop Glansteg , continue walking a few meters in the direction the bus is going, turn right, cross the little bridge, turn right into Ganshofstrasse and walk down to number 18, a light green house on the right side. Other Things to Note: If no guests are leaving on the day of your arrival, you can check in at any time. Otherwise, the apartment will be ready around 3:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage from 10:30 AM and go for a walk until the apartment is ready. Please let me know, because Airbnb programs the access codes of the electronic locks to work from 3:00 PM. On your departure day, I need the apartment at 10:00 AM for final cleaning. Interaction with Guests: As I don’t live in Salzburg, I am not always able to meet my guests at the apartment. Therefore, I provide them with detailed instructions on how to access the apartment and information about the apartment. Walkable to all attractions and sites.There were some nice small details like paper towels, tissues, smart TV that were very enjoyable and appreciated.The apartment is definitely old school, so some updates would be nice, the beds were uncomfortable. Mattresses were very very soft. There is one flight of steps but not a problem with luggage. The washer and dryer are also very nice if needed. The nicest feature was the location with everything you need within walking distance including old town Salzburg. A delightful apartment, perfect for 2 friends. We love to cook, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The neighborhood is very quiet. We are walkers, and the location was central to everything we wanted, from the Fortress, to the concert at Marble Hall. The bus to town, about 10 mins, was easy. Get a Salzburg card! The apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a very nice bakery nearby so breakfasts were great.
