"This is a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. More house than hotel! It appears to be totally renovated and the decor is gorgeous. The view of the pool and the mountains in the distance were wonderful. Our room was spacious and the shower was fabulous. It is located in a very small town with just two restaurants, neither of which were open, so we went to a quaint market within walking distance for cheese, wine, etc. Everything was great. Monsanto was a quick drive away."

"We arrived early, and luckily the concierge arrived 20 minutes later as we were in 31 degree heat. Did not realise we had to phone ahead. It is among very, very steep cobbled paths. No parking facility. However, we were made to feel very welcome. The welcome pack was gratefully received. This really is a self catering unit as there are no good restaurants in monsanto and the kitchen is well equipped.
