Enjoy the breeze and view from this light-filled cabin on top of a ridge. Walk to trails in the NC Wildlife Game Lands or just enjoy strolling around the gravel roads of our neighborhood, Piney Mountain -- keep an eye out for deer, birds and other wildlife. Many trails, waterfalls and outdoor adventures in the nearby area.
Dogs are welcome, but not on the furniture. Must get owner approval and pay pet fee.
The cabin sits on a 4.25-acre wooded lot. Enjoy a beautiful mountain view year-round and 360-degree winter mountain views. Whether you're looking for some family time or a chance to connect with friends, this place has been set up to accommodate. Floor plan is open with a bedroom and bathroom on each level. Hang out on one of the porches or deck, watch a movie in the loft, grab a book, or play a board game. The house is set up to make you so comfortable you won't want to leave.
But if you choose to venture out and explore, historic downtown Saluda is very charming with excellent food, art and live music. And there are lots of day-trip options including:
Sky Top Orchard, Zirconia Hendersonville Tryon International Equestrian Center Lake Lure Asheville Chimney Rock
"The mountains are calling, and I must go." - John Muir
Other things to note The roads within our development are gravel and our driveway is steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are necessary in times of inclement weather. They are not necessary year-round but more easily navigate getting up the driveway.
There is no cable...only a smart TV with a DVD player and some DVDs.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Piney Cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and furnishings. Our dog Cotton enjoyed the basket of toys. We’d love to return again.
Cabin was perfect. Great location, tons of nature while sitting on the huge back deck, and close to everything a mountain retreat needs. Had a blast and would happily go back!
Our experience could not have been better! Beautiful mountains views, perfect cabin with great outdoor amenities! Very clean and so many extras to make for the perfect getaway weekend!
This was are 5th stay at the cabin. The views are spectacular and the cabin is clean and well stocked. We find new adventures ever time we stay. Looking forward to our next trip!
Enjoyed our time at the cabin. If you’re looking for something in a quieter spot but is still a short trip to the quaint downtown of Saluda, this fits the bill. Also a short drive to Hendersonville and just a few extra minutes to Asheville.
Great space, very clean, lots of attention to details and amenities. Property manager was easily accessible and responsive. Would stay here again! Great View
This one of the most beautiful settings I've stayed in. The cabin was perfect and designed for total relaxation. I'm looking forward to returning for a future trip.
This was an amazing home with all you would want for a vacation. So clean and so perfect for a couple or small group. I hope to return with a group of friends!
Alison was amazing with her acceptance of my two dogs, one who is over 80 pounds.
I don’t have enough nice things to say about the cabin and the hosts. We were originally scheduled to visit a week after Helene hit NC. The hosts were very responsive and offered to refund the trip but we worked it out to come another weekend. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The cabin is gorgeous and the views are incredible! Very clean and has all the amenities you will need. Amazing visit and we cannot wait to get back soon!!! Absolutely recommend staying here for your next visit to Hendersonville/Asheville
This home was clean and spacious with a perfect working gas fireplace and a guitar! It did NOT disappoint. We were in the woods, secluded high up in the hills. You could not ask for more! And THANKS for the Scrabble game!!
We really had such a nice time at this cabin. It had everything that we needed. The view is incredible. I love how you feel like you are really right in the middle of the woods. It’s kind of far off of Rt. 26 but we didn’t mind. You can get anywhere in that area pretty easily from there. Host was excellent.
This property is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Very clean & well stocked.
The enclosed porch is very cozy, the hammock is a great place to read or relax. Large decks to enjoy the view and watch wildlife. Having trails so close is nice. There is an info book that we found very helpful. The fire pit was our favorite. We will definitely return. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation in a beautiful location this is it.

Loved the mountain views, safety, peace and quiet, screened porch, deck. Loved closeness to Big Bradley Falls for hiking.
Did not love the mattress on the bed upstairs...not comfortable.
Not close to grocery store but, you ARE in the mountains.
Drive way up to the cabin might need more gravel. My two wheel drive SUV had a hard time, tires spinning...but on our last night at the cabin.
Overall, had a wonderful time.
We were looking for a place of peace and quiet. This certainly fit what we were looking for. Owner was very responsive to every question. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need. The deck was incredible. Beautiful view. We also enjoyed the front porch loungers. Very relaxing atmosphere. (I also love the fact that she had make up remover. I had run out and was pleasantly surprised she had the bathroom stocked with this.). If you are looking for a cabin to unwind, this is your place.
The cabin was exactly as described and more. The location was perfect for local hikes, the cabin itself had a fantastic open plan, and the view was incredible.
This was our second stay at the Sittin & Sippin society and it was amazing, as expected! The kitchen is well stocked with olive oil and spices and we loved that there was plenty of lotion/shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The board game and dvd selection provided gave us lots to do in our down time. We loved spending time on the back porch, deck, and especially the fire pit. Downtown Saluda is adorable, our little one loved McCreery Park and we ALL loved Green River Eddie's (delicious BBQ, burgers, n beers). We definitely want to come back during some warmer weather to check out all the local waterfall hiking.
