My wife and I, originally from New York have never experienced nature as surreal and stunningly beautiful as Spenceville Farms. The A frame is snuggled back in the woods so we had complete privacy. However, we were able to explore the 150-acre property and were simply in awe of the gorgeous mountain views surrounding the property. We enjoyed hiking around the property, seeing cattle and all kinds of other wildlife. We loved getting out and about (Abingdon Vineyards, Abingdon Brewery...etc) and coming back to build a fire in the evening. The owners were super-attentive...quick to deliver firewood and answered each message in a timely and thorough manner. The cabin is newly renovated and we couldn't believe everything was powered by solar. You'd never know!! Also, it comes with lots of extras (games, coffee waffle-maker...etc) and is very clean!! I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We try to get outdoors every fall, and this place outranks all other places we have rented over the last 5 years! Plenty of room to run around and hike on the farm. Each evening we enjoyed seeing Mamma deer, her babies and Rowdy the horse. House with just about anything you could need in a home away from home. Owners responsive to messages. Wifi is not included just yet, but who needs it when there is so much to do outside! Evenings on the loft’s back porch is a MUST!! You won't regret staying here!
