A charming and cozy hotel with a warm atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. A perfect place to stay when visiting Sälen.

Charming, luxurious and historical hotel. Friendly staff, great beds, and every detail in the room were just perfect. We got a really good deal as it was a bit off season. But the "price" of that was that their famous waffle house were closed. The only tiny negative thing I can think of is that (the delicious) breakfast only was served until 9 am and that checkout was already at 10 am... But, despite this we had a very nice stay in this great hotel.

The place is fine, I just used it as a stop on road trip. The only problem was a long wait to check in as staff are also serving in restaurant. Suggest not checking in at meal times.

Nice cozy room, good pillows, fluffy towels. The main area though, with the reception and restaurant, although it looked very nice, it had a strong smell. Not sure what it was, but personally I found it unpleasent. Breakfast selection was also very poor, especially in the warm-foods department.

Vi hade problem med vår bokning men personalen gjorde sitt yttersta och mer därtill för att hjälpa oss att få ordning på det. Vi kände oss oerhört omhändertagna och vill starkt rekommendera Gammelgården. Inte bara på grund av detta utan även den fantastiskt mysiga miljön som hotellet utstrålar

Ett mycket trevligt hotell med hjälpsam och vänlig personal. En bra restaurang och en fantastisk frukost finns också. Vi kommer att återvända.

Savnet ei hylle til såpe i dusjen. Såpe falt stadig ned på gulvet. Observerte at bordene under frokost ble rengjort med ei fille uten at den ble skylt opp underveis. Et langbord til 8 personer på en klut! Og alle smuler og annet som lå på bordene ble bare skuffa ned på gulvet. Ikke bra tenker nå jeg. Ellers var alt tipp topp.
