This almost 200 year old stone house, although completely modernized from the inside, has retained its quaint charm. Here you will find cozy corners, shaded areas and a beautiful, large pool where you can cool off in the warm summer months. The 10,000 square meter property is wonderfully overgrown and ends at a relatively large lake, which you can also admire from the covered terrace. Here you will definitely spend some wonderful and relaxing days, because nothing but nature surrounds you here. Of course, you will find many smaller towns and villages in the vicinity. If you do fancy a bit more of a big city feel, we recommend day trips to Bordeaux(123 km) and Toulouse (140 km). The longer drive is worth it, because here the possibilities for cultural and culinary experiences are inexhaustible. Its a stunning setting, extremely peaceful and with an incredible view over the lake and hills. The apartment is clean, spacious and well equipped, with very good aircon - which was a blessing as we had blue skies and hot temperatures 99% of the time. The pool was great for the kids and a lovely place to spend a couple of hours. Mobile signal isn't good, but we managed fine with the Wi-Fi - being rural it isn't strong, but it was normally sufficient to do some remote working and for the kids to stream a film. The biggest draw of the property to us though was the peace and scenery, so even were the signal an issue it wouldn't be a bad thing to be off grid!Guy was very accommodating and helpful, with good English (which we appreciated as we are still learning French) and gave valuable advice on the local area and places to see. Given the rural setting, us having young children and the potential language barrier if we had a problem, we found it reassuring that he was in the apartment below if we needed help. The local area is very picturesque, rural and quiet, with a lovely bastide town just up the road and others within a range of about 20 to 40 minutes that are well worth visiting. ##### Miles B.
