"We had a great one night stay at Blackbush Resort. It started with driving up to the property and its wonderful location right near the shore. A great greeting at the front desk and some help from Lamar who was bartending but noticed it was raining and ran outside to bring an umbrella as we were unloading our bags. A large gorgeous room - with views! We noticed the heated bathroom floor and we were impressed. The hot tubs outside were wonderful. The didn’t dine here but there is an in-house restaurant that had a set menu for evening and what looked like a sport bar type restaurant a block away that was open until 9. We had dinner plans elsewhere but would babe checked it out. You can see the ocean from many angles of the property, and the beach is a few minutes walk away. Wish we had stayed at least one more night really explore the area."

"Nous n'avons pas rencontré le propriétaire mais les communications étaient faciles et fluides. Le logement était une belle découverte. La chambre était charmante. Il y avait un micro-onde, une bouilloire et de quoi se faire un café et un thé. Il y avait de vraies cuillères et non en plastique, ce qui est très agréable. Bravo pour cela. En arrivant le soir, si vous avez faim, il y a un restaurant de cuisine asiatique qui doit être tenu par le même propriétaire. L'endroit est calme et bien entretenu même s'il faudrait penser à refaire la baignoire car cela doit être un bain à remou mais ce n'est pas très bien entretenu. Pour le reste, rien à redire. Il y a même une terrasse avec une petite table et 2 petites chaises mais sans anti-moustique c'est impossible d'y rester."

"The host was very friendly. The cottage was clean and generally well equipped. The view was stellar and the location was excellent. We greatly enjoyed watching the birds fishing in the river, the proximity to the national park and the walking path and the lovely shade offered by the mature trees in front of the cottage. We LOVED that we were able to bring our dog with us. We were a party of four adults. The listing said the cottage could sleep up to four, which is accurate- there were two couches, one of which pulled out into a bed, in addition to the bedroom. However, the cottage is probably best suited for a couple, as the dining table only seats 2, there were only 2 lawn chairs on the deck (we brought our own, so it wasn’t an issue) and there were 3 dinner plates in the cupboard. Some of the furniture was a bit past its prime and there were a couple of spots where the floor was a bit wonky. The heat pump was turned off when we arrived, so it took a while to get the interior cooled down. There is a large cottage very close to this cottage. Luckily, the people staying there were quiet and respectful, so it was not an issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again."

"We had a great week staying at this cottage. The cottage itself is very nice. We have been coming to the island for the past 50 years and this cottage is probably one of the nicest cottages we ever rented on the island. The location is awesome with easy access to the beach which itself is spectacular. The views from the deck are stunning. I only have a couple of items to suggest to the owner for consideration. (1) The bugs in the area are pretty bad so we couldn't spend much time outdoors in the evening. Based on our experience this seems to be a common issue on the island. Other cottage owners that we rented from in the past have had their yards sprayed for mosquitoes and other pests which seemed to help quite a bit. (2) Some of the other cottage owners give priority to previous renters before booking new renters. I hope the owners of this cottage will consider doing the same."

"Our last minute rental turned out to surpass all expectations, as if we had planned it for months. The hosts were so accommodating, with a smooth check in and tons of great suggestions. The house is gorgeous- thoughtfully planned and tastefully decorated. We were happy to move from deck to deck to enjoy sunrise and sunsets. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, with everything you could need. Wish we could have spent more time but can't wait to return!"

"Hôtes accueillants et sympathiques. Les installations sont impeccables. Ça sent bon partout. Ils fournissent tout ! Huile, épices de base, lampes frontales, etc. Panier pour notre chien avec serviette, couverture, gâteries, sac à caca. Un lit confortable est même à sa disposition. Une plage magnifique se trouve à moins de 5 min en voiture. Le couché de soleil était spectaculaire. Le sable est doux. À moins de 30 min du traversier à Souris. Le seul point négatif, mais ils n’ont aucun contrôle : les moustiques ! Ils sont si voraces, impossible de s’installer dehors pour profiter du coucher de soleil, le spa, souper et déjeuner dehors, vraiment dommage ! Peut-être il serait bien d’ajouter un espace avec moustiquaire pour ceux qui aiment être dehors. Nous vous recommandons cet endroit sans hésiter ! Nous allons probablement revenir pour essayer l’endroit durant la période hivernale."
