This is a wonderful property with brilliant owners who couldn’t do enough to make our stay so enjoyable. Thank you to Alain and the family. Incredible views from the pool deck, great food for breakfast and incredibly relaxed atmosphere.

Evening meal and breakfast very good and excellent value Rooms were a good size

The property and views were stunning. Spacious room and bathroom, breakfast was also good. My only gripe would be the room could do with a small fridge, as there is nowhere nearby to get a cold drink.

Excellent small hotel and close to where we needed to be for personal reasons. Rooms smart and functional. Breakfast very good and varied with flexible span for taking it. Staff friendly and efficient

Spacious room with excellent en-suite facilities. Generous and varied breakfast. Electric car charging station. Out standing hosts, would happily return in the future.

Easy walk from Thiviers train station. William was a perfect host. The pool was lovely to have!

Very handy stop 1 mile from motorway exit. Pool to cool off the family. Good size of room and bathroom with walk in shower. Food was exceptional for such a small place (@ 20 rooms). Set menu with 1/2/3 course options or à la carte. Breakfast has good choice of self service options, including hot dishes. Reception by owner and his wife as chef means they really are invested in your stay. Add this place to good stops on a drive to/from Spain.

The accommodation was perfect and the little terrace was bathed with early evening sunshine, very pleasant. The Air con was very welcome later though. We didn't have the evening meal but it smelled delicious!! Breakfast was exactly what we needed. it was ideal and a lovely change from a chain hotel. Thanks, A little Gem!!

Beautiful hotel with fantastic heated pool and gorgeous food served by friendly accommodating staff. Great value for money and the hotel is perfectly placed to discover the jewels of the Dordogne such as Perigueux and the cave paintings at Lascaux. The only slight issue is a bit of bliss from the road right behind the pool and the breakfast could have been better for the price. But great stay overall’

Simply the prefect stopover, beautiful views over the valley, great food, a comfortable bed and a breakfast to start your day right.

I stopped in Masseret at random, as I was driving down to Occitanie. I arrived late, and during the Covid pandemic, and the receptionist offered me a reasonably priced evening meal in my room, which was delicious. The room itself was comfortable and pleasant, with an excellent view of the tower across the street. A very pleasant experience over-all. If I had one small complaint it was that the double bed was made up of two single mattresses, so it had a mildly uncomfortable ridge down the...
