Le quartier est calme et il est facile de rejoindre la partie médiévale de St Macaire à pied, par une petite route qui longe un haras et mène directement aux remparts. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison. Elle est suffisamment grande pour 2 ou 3 personnes, bien équipée et dans un quartier calme. Proche du centre ville, mais également de la nature et de la Garonne. Le fait qu'il y ait des vélos, nous a permis de faire de belles balades. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par le propriétaire qui nous a également conseillé pour les visites à faire dans la région.
