Bij het huis is een lekkere veranda waar je lekker buiten kan eten of gewoon even niet in de zon wilt zitten. Wij hebben genoten van het geweldige huis. Daarnaast hebben wij ons prima vermaakt in het Centre Océanide in Fontenay-le-Comte, en een dagje in NaturZoo de Mervent. Tevens een dagje in Le Grandéfi. Wij hebben een kikker en een salamander ‘gered’ uit het filterputje van het zwembad. Ondanks het petweer toch een duik genomen in het zwembad. De omgeving is mooi. Het is wel even zoeken naar een restaurant en winkels. Uiteindelijk kwamen we uit. In de Super U en de l’Eclair in Fontenay le Compte Afsluitend fantastisch huis met prachtige inrichting. Fijn dat er boeken, cd’s en dvd’s aanwezig zijn. De ontvangstsnoepjes zijn zeer gewaardeerd. Tevens de aanwezigheid van keukenrol en toiletpapier. Kortom een heerlijke week. Ruime keuken met nodige voorzieningen, grote leefruimte met grote tafel waar wij door mooie weer geen gebruik van gemaakt hebben. Wij hebben op terras met grote tafel gebruikt om te eten en spelletjes te spelen. Mooi zwembad met ligzetels, zon- en schaduwplekjes, dan nog groot tuin om oa te kubben of andere tuinspelen. Bakker is op 10 minuten met de auto, heel mooie stadjes in de nabije omgeving. We werden alleraardigst ontvangen door de beheerster Sylvie. Zij is franstalig maar als je er niet helemaal uitkomt koppelt ze het terug naar de nederlandstalige eigenaar. Wij hebben in het huis verbleven met onze dochters, hun partners onze kleindochter van 1 jaar en 3 bearded collies. Het huis is sfeervol ingericht en het ontbreekt je werkelijk aan niets. Het zwembad met zijn gezellige zithoek en de fantastisch ruime tuin zijn de kers op de taart. Rondom het huis kun je prima in alle rust wandelen met de honden. De kust is prima te bereiken (50 min naar La Rochelle) en er zijn leuke stadjes te bekijken in de nabije omgeving. Ook de abdij in Nieul is een bezoek meer dan waard. We werden heel loffelijk ontvangen door de eigenares, het huisje was prachtig met aan elke slaapkamer een badkamer dit was super!!! De omgeving is erg landelijk waardoor de hondjes ook van de wandelingen genoten hebben. Toch waren we zeer snel aan de kust. Jammer dat het weer wat minder was zodat we niet veel van het zwembad hebben kunnen genieten. Alleen de nageltjes aan het zwembad zijn zeer gevaarlijk zowel voor kinderen als volwassenen, hier zou iets aan gedaan moeten worden. Ik denk dat ze bedoeld zijn om het zeil vast te leggen in de winter maar stel voor om hier in de zomer rubbertjes over te steken.
