"My wife and I were very impressed with Barbara’s hideaway. The cottage was clean, functional, and out of the way but still fairly close to all the wonderful little towns and chateaus in the valley. The private pool was a treat and we felt like we were the only people around for miles yet Barbara was there anytime we had a question. "Upon arrival we were warmely greeted by Jocelyne and Jean Claude who showed us around the cottage. The cottage is very nicely furnished with all you need for a relaxing vacation, It would comfortably accomodate 10 as it is very spacious, there were only 4 of us so we had plenty of space. The kitchen is well equiped with all you would need and a pleasant place to prepare your meals, There is a lovely bathroom downstairs and a second upstairs (which we never used to reduce the amount of cleaning...

"Very poor attension to opening the breakfast times. I was to open at 7am, but didnt open until 7.45 on a Monday before our teams work. Poor selection of breakfast, no taking care of damp towels in room or the room when returning. Would assume there was cleaning to take place the days I stayed. Over payed for the price it was "

"Beaucoup de bruit de la part des voisins à deux heure du matin et impossible de rejoindre le personnel avec tous les numéros fournis. Le lendemain j'ai annuler les deux jours restant à cause du bruit et de la sécurité inexistante la nuit. On m'a indiqué qu'on allait me contacter pour discuter du remboursement mais j'attends encore après plus d'un mois!"

"Staff good . Bedding clean and comfortable. Air conditioning not working, mouldy shower ceiling, carpet very worn. Whole hotel needs a revamp. Breakfast buffet not great choice. Overpriced. Car parking very easy and hotel was not noisy. Would not use again unless keen to stay in Parthenay."

"This was a lovely, relaxed hotel with lots to do for the whole family. Tennis, golf, driving range, mini golf, volleyball etc and even a mini farm, horse riding and games room. Events such as walks and an outdoor cinema. Great breakfast with local produce, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. My son left his sunglasses behind and they were also kind enough to send them home to us!! "
