Before checking in the host asked us if we would mind switching units to accommodate a family who was to have checked out of “our” unit that day but asked to extend their stay due to a medical emergency. We agreed to swap to the downstairs unit as the downstairs unit was essentially identical plus had access to laundry. Usha the host is very friendly and responsive. Something to note about the apartment is that it doesn’t appear to have air conditioning, and we had some trouble opening the very old windows to get some air through, although we did manage to open three, which provided a breeze. The location of the house is very walkable to uptown St. John. The apartment itself is large, with lovely big rooms, high ceilings, and original details throughout. There is parking onsite. If you are a traveler who prefers a less hands-on (by the host) check-in and stay, this is probably not the location for you. Expect 15-20 mins with the host when checking in for a tour and instructions.

We had a last minute trip for a funeral, and the hostess could not have been more accommodating! She communicated so very well and the place was huge. My favorite part was the king size bed...it was soooo comfortable (and it smelled so GREAT!! I don't know what she used on the sheets - but it was terrific!!) We were only there for two nights, but everything was walkable uptown. She gave great recommendations for restaurants as well. Highly recommend!!
