Hôtel Énergie Shawinigan

"I booked a queen room through Hotels.com, but unfortunately, the room I was given looked nothing like the photos online. It was in a different, older part of the hotel and felt very outdated, which was quite disappointing. I asked if I could be moved to one of the newer rooms, but I was told that the only option was to upgrade to a newer king room for an additional $60. At that point, I was tired and decided to take the upgrade. I’m glad I did, because the king room was much nicer. The mattress was very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and well soundproofed the room was. My advice when booking: make sure to ask for a room in the newer part of the hotel, as the difference between the two areas seems significant. The location is excellent, though, with lots of great restaurants right nearby, which was a definite plus. Overall, my first impression was disappointing, but the upgraded room made the stay much better."

"La rue est fermée tout l'été devant l'entrée de l'hôtel. J'aurais aimé être avisé, ça m'aurait évité de tourner en rond. Le téléviseur très difficile à faire fonctionner. On y a pas arrivé. 1 seul café dans la chambre pour 2 personnes 2 nuits. Le stationnement est en arrière du bâtiment donc prévoyé avoir à marcher avec vos bagages. Si le prix est la on y retournerait pour l'emplacement."
