"Arrived very late due to weather and had to wait for over 5-mins for the staff member to check us in. Not even any acknowledgement or gesture to show sorry for the wait, as they were on the phone and were being rude to the customer on the phone. Finally checked us in and I asked if it was easier to move the car first or to go through the lobby to unlock the room - we were put on the opposite side of the hotel and you have to unlock the sliding door from the inside to get to the car outside. He said to drive around first, so we did. Drove around and then had to walk fully around the hotel back to the front entrance as all the other doors were locked. After a very stressful and treacherous drive through bad weather, this was just additional misery. Room was clean at first glance but noticed stains on the bed and the toilet seat plastic was peeling... again not the way it appears to be describe online. It is very dated. Experience was so awful I slept in my truck and essentially paid to use the bathroom. I wont stay here again and I strongly suggested you choose the other hotel up the road or stay at the truck stop, which I should've done. There's a reason both those lots look full and it's because it's not worth staying here. Unless you're truly on a tight budget and 'need' somewhere to stay and a truck stop isn't enough (which it was honestly nicer than I expected), this place exists. Only saving grace was the friendly female staff I spoke to, Diane maybe? She was nice."

"Always enjoy staying here. The location is great, few minutes off Trans Canada. Owners are awesome people. Very friendly and always accommodating. Owner remembered us from last visit and welcomed us back. Rooms are clean and comfortable. TV selection is awesome!! Get more channels then at big name hotels. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, safe, quality priced place to stay, you need to stay at La Roma Motel. "

"I was good for a quick stop. Would not recommend for more than a night. Bathroom very small and only a very very small shower cubby space not worth using. Bedding was nice and comfortable. Room needs quite a bit of paint and touch ups. Staff very very nice. Parking not super ideal as you park at back and have to carry luggage around to front."

"Lovely room, staff very friendly and location was great. Only negative was very limited parking as they are expanding and seems have not yet addressed parking. It looks like a short term issue. No restaurant but very close to a number of takeout options."

"Nothing all good"

"The biggest negative was other guests. There was a hockey team staying at the hotel and they were very loud, playing hockey and socializing in the hallway until night time (10 pm). This is extremely inconsiderate of other guests. The air hockey table in the dining room during breakfast was also incredibly loud and bothersome to other guests. I would not stay here again for these reasons. Respect for other guests should be considered. "
